  1. Hiya guys. Spoke to Gordon at Chambers this morning, very understanding and helpfull guy. Explained the issues with the magazine, and he said they had a few complaints, but not many mentioning loss of accuracy. Any how, he has agreed to refund me, which is good. Posted it off RMSD this morning. ATB. Bill.
  2. Hiya Simon. Congratulations on the new arrival. From the tone of your write up, I think its a case of love at first sight. I sent my HW95 to Tony Wall on reccomendation from Zini ( Si ) As Si says, the guy is spot on with tuning, not just that, the man has time for you, and is a gentleman, cant do enough to help you. The 95 is now shooting beautifully, more consistant and very accurate. So I recommend Tony Wall aswell.....and for the people sending nasty PMs WHY? Good luck and good shooting with her mate. Look forward to the posts. ATB. Bill.
  3. Halo all I suppose it is a little early. 5. Hiya Darryl. Thanks for the heads up mate Its good to know that its not just us that is having trouble. That sounds very selfish dosnt it .......but I hope you know what I mean. Looks like I will be sticking to the BSA Mags from here on in. Cheers mucker. Bill.

  8. Hi All. Some may remember I got one of these mags to try out. ( A double ) First impressions were not good, sharp edges on the body, and sharp spring ends poking out the back. Well today I tried to load the Mag in my friends Ultra, it would not fit, even after some carfull fiddling. We then tried it in his BSA R10, that he had just zeroed. It fitted into the rifle ok, but when firing the rifle, the MPI dropped by an inch!! We could not figure out why, the only thing we could both think of, was that the skirts were being damaged during the probe loaing. We both shot the R10,
  9. No doubt at all that a .177 takes the guess work out of range finding to 40yds or so. But experamentation with lighter weight .22 is worth doing. 14 gr is about ideal for .22 usage at sub 12ftlb, and with practice gives outstanding results. Its just a matter of finding what lighter .22 suits your rifle. Well, with what I have tried anyway Confidence, and practice play an equal part in performance. Bill.
  10. Hi Millsy. Argh......the joys of the outdoors a......steam rising off a warm car bonnet :tongue4: ? Nothing like comming home with a full bag, but emptying the bag has its plus points too . Bill.
  11. Hi Darryl. Great post mate, shame about the weather and wind buddy, I hope it improves for you all. How are you coping with his nibb's?, must be an awfull strain keeping him awake, and not letting him wander off.......sleep walking Are you finding the snoring is spooking the four leggers Good luck guys. Bill.
  12. .....and definatly more sossarrrrrrges Bigger pipe too Bill.
  13. Hi Pit. Lovely rifle mate and looks good. To my mind, the dipping is all very well and looks nice, but does not realy add value to the rifle itself. Its the kind of thing you would have done for personal satisfaction with a keeper. Have seen them about for £400 £500. How old is the rifle mate? Bill.
  14. Hi Tony. Bless you mate Can I book in as a cripple, and a possible for the meet. Dont know how my back and legs will be, but would like to think Ill be ok. Be great to meet up with you lads, and finaly meet you all. ATB Bill.
  15. Hi Alex. I thought the same as Buster mate If you get a good R10 your laughing, shot my mates and its very accurate, he has had no major problems with his. BSA are pretty good on customer care I think, but I satand to be corrected. Choices choices mate......good luck ATB./ Bill.

  23. Hi Millsey. Turps no good mate, because your stain is water based. Easier to sand it off again. Use a good couse glass paper, then go down the grades untill your happy, sand with the grain where possible. You could try a bit of varish on it first though, just a small area, it will go darker when varnished, if your still not happy, sand it back. Bill.
  24. What, and the varnish mate ?
