  4. im currently in the market for a gwp bitch but have seen gwp's that i can only describe as barrel like in their appearance, but i prefer lean, athletics gwp's so i wondered if anyone knew of any lines likely to meet my requirements or better yet any litters? also its not important, but i have a thing for solid brown gwp's

  6. Summat told me you would know, Aplomado. bang on, he did tell me, but i forgot, nice bird, but didnt like the dogs, and was getting stressed out, so i bid him farewell. by the way, what prey would he use it for thank you lovely elegant looking birds mate never had anything to do with them and mainly now stick to out Native Peregrine. probably take small to medium sized birds and by all accounts will take some ground quarry I believe they are used for bush wacking and take small stuff. I think fraser hamilton has one...
  7. Its definately not a ferruginous buzzard, nor is it a hawk or buzzard in general. Its a falcon and my guess is a black shaheen or some sort of barbary hybrid. But it is definately not a ferruginous and im sorry to say thats an appauling guess lol =)
  8. ive bought 2 sets off rob in the past and im happy with them... scott allan
  9. i knwo, but then im scared it will pass on its traits to the pup, which i dont want...
  10. basically, ive got a brittany that lives indoors and is a shit worker (im not gunna lie) and has become my mums pet. so im looking at getting a german shorthaired pointer and keeping him outside to prevent him being spoilt by my mum. how many on here keep a dog indoors and another out? as i dont know whether it is unfair to keep one indoors and one out? thanks
  11. Dogs? they dont. they shared a pointer, but it died of old age...
  12. i have found a litter of gsp's. the dog will be worked with my gos, a friends gyrxsaker and anothers redtail. i will not be sending it to training, i will be attending with it and learning myself so that i am capable of training future dogs...
  13. Thanks for the replies. But the answer to the two "if you cant train a britt" i have stated that i wont be training the pointer... Also dont really fancy a hwv, just fancy one of the above three. In the order of preference it would be, gwp, gsp, english
  14. im looking at getting a pointer in the very near future. but i was wondering, which would be best (for falconry)? my preferences are the following; gwp, gsp, english. so, which would be best for me? how long before i can work her? (will be trained by ian griffiths gundog trainer) any more information i need? had a brittany and will not waste my time again, so please dont recomend them
  15. there was one in liverpool who died and had over 1m in his bank also, i know of an ex everton player who is homeless locally, he is a pyromaniac and has burnt all his houses down :/
  16. Please note; ferruginous gos was a typo, should just say ferruginous lol ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ fixed it
  17. what bird do you fly? tried to add more options to the poll, but reached a limit
  18. not in the field, but my bed has seperated bars at both ends, and when i first got my brittany, his leg went through the middle and he jumped over the top, never heard as much screaming before in my life, poor thing. thought he'd have broke it...
  19. maybe not a reasonable price, but the best, i believe. is a deaddogs vest, sold on the field and falcon website.
  20. Im in liverpool and do abit of ferreting but its not my main choice of hunting...
  21. Ive got a brittany and hes three now. Was originally bought for falconry and was good on whistle and hand comands. But then he stopped and now he wont listen when outdoors but is fine on whistle indoors and in garden. So im looking to pay for dog training to finnish him off and was wondering if he is now too old to learn any different? As i dont wanna pay and the dog not learn. Alternatively, is anyone in/near liverpool willing to help one on one in exchange for some days out with my goshawk? (dont ask you dont get, lol) Also, if there is any 'q's where there should be 'a's i apologise as im
  22. i know, but that was the only hide i knew of, scoped a knew one that would give me an advantage though
