    i think its all down to the mentality of the dog and the owners ability to read this and bring it on in the right way.ive seen whippets catching rabbits on the lamp at 6 months old and still going strong today,and ive seen them enterd later and open up and pull up purely down to the owners ability as a dog man to read the signs imo

    i got a suluki type bitch here,had her out since a pup every were i go,ferreting shes exceld at this sitting quiet while the ferrets are in not grabbing the rabbits in the nets[i hate that]shes there on it if i say she will pin it if need be.great with a terrier up an hedge catching bolters,marking holes,hedges etc will hunt up in day find on her own aswell,good bitch on feather to catching them in mid air and rush in on them in cover.On the lamp shes coming on great straight back when lights out [no hunting up like she does in the day]just started catching squaters,can slip her very far on qu

    she will retreive back to me and stop bout 10 yards away and hold it till i say drop does my head in,mind you its better than not retrieving it at all and having to walk the field to get it, but working on it and will get her retieving back to hand

    just got in from lamping with ideation of here had a good night 10 rabbits with my bitch and one shot and retreived long ear not many rabbits about this end of the season so well pleased with her, run real clever tonight exspecialy around cover and took two out of the squat which is her first two caught like this shes just turned 18 months bred out of s gaskins tramp and g furys lucy out sniper x nancy atb will put pics up tomorow when i sort them out atb
