    To many pups are never giving the chance to grow up and mature lot off people see pup big in size and think that because it has the height and weight it should be doing fox like and older dog and that is why you see so many pups in the for sell section from 12 till 18 months old and most are bull cross push on to things that bit back far two young. IMO a pup should have full season on rabbits learning ditches gates livestock etc and then when it is 2 year old or so then let them watch old dog do the job let pup have shake few dead ones see if it takes a disliking to them but as we all know mo

    use both use filter get close to the rabbits the closer you get the better for pup and two white lights on rabbit give pup even better chance when the filter is taking off but everyone brings there pup on in there different ways all best

    some good points there but the bit at the top about fair law when was fair law brought in and what distance would you call fair???? I know you wern't asking me but as I've said before every slip is different. On big land some hares may get 100 yard slips but on small land this may not even be possible. Every hare should be judged differently, once you spend enough time in the land hunting them you will know a good one from a bad one straight away. Every single one will run differently and as the dogman its upto you to decide whats fair, after all you'll know your dog best Star

    A friend has 5/8 3/8 and has one best noises l have seen for hunting foxes during the day if there fox any where near this dog find it no prop and its great to watch hunting across cliffs forest any cover .l have only hunted with 2 bullxs and both where great cover and finding dogs during the day but as bird said good bullx or good wheaten x breed out off good stuff and brought up and entered right cant go wrong

    know what you mean over here don't think really need good staying dog because we don't have big fen fields need some that fast tight can stay a bit but must have balls because lot ditches gates fence over here but most off all need dog that has good strike seen many dog run 4 mins but never have the mouth to lift them
