  1. Well to be honest, my main reason for getting it is that I love the breed, but because I have had birds, I fancied a gsp for falconry, but I also wanted like an all-round dog. I have been hesitant about getting my shotgun certificate because it seems quite a palava. But I have applied now, so I should be sorted, Fortunately i have been blessed with about 300 acres of land in my garden, so there is plenty for him to do. And by the way, I am fascinated by the old method of netting, I also have heard of some people across the pond using catapults!.
  2. What part of mid wales you from? Brecon or further up or down?
  3. Ye dyfed powys police, I know there is no rush to get a gun but I would like my ticket ready.
  4. My boss is like a well known bloke, I`m sure he is quite important in the surrounding areas. How long does it take for it all to go through. Im 22 years old, have my own house and permission if that would help.
  5. Hi all, pretty new to the gundog front just after some advice. I have put my name down for a gsp, I plan on just doing some trialing stuff, a bit of pointing and retrieving dummys. I dont own a shotgun so I am limited to what I can do. My work colleague has a springer spaniel that is trained mint, he works and flushes hedges and that is all he does he only shoots once a year, He was saying if you can get the dog trained well you can net the quarry, is this true? Just a bit stuck as applying for a shotgun looks a bit of a nightmare.
  6. Aye cheers boys, been watching plenty of dvds and out with the breeder often. I`m in no rush just a bit worked up over the applciation. I have never done anything wrong but I cant think of anyone to sign my c.s.

  8. Hi all, I`m am aquiring a gsp pup soon to train, and plan on getting a gun to shoot over him. I have my own land with plenty to shoot. I am a bit baffled by what gun to get, I have shot shotguns with work colleagues, and used to shoot air rifles. Just wondering as to the winchester sx3? My friend says its a good all-round gun but is it any good as a first gun?

  16. Hi, everyone. I need some help, I have just aquired a pointer pup that is in the process of training. I want to get a air rifle to shot with, I have decided against a shotgun due to the licncing and money side. I would like a air-rifle for shooting rabbits close range and long, and stuff like duck, phesant and so-on. Any ideas? Something not to expensive.
