  3. They love the tunnel system I did for them!! Im dead chuffed!! Its great when you build something yourself isnt it!! I feel like Mr T out of the A team..... 'Its great when a plan comes together' Oops, showing my age
  4. As I read this, Im sitting with a Nicorette Inhilator puffing away, havent had a fag since Sun at 2355 hrs and its the hardest thing Ive ever done. I did stop for 8 weeks and 4 days before now but the snag is 'I love smoking' and I'll always be an 'Ex smoker'and not a 'None smoker'such as life though, the current Government seem intent on banning everything!!
  5. As per usual I thought 'That looks easy' and tried to make a purse net What a f***ing mess Ive made of it Surely there must be a DVD available that shows clearly how to do it? Ive bought all the required equipment and several books but Im better with watching rather than reading in order to understand. Please help, Im a great believer in making your own stuff. Thanks in advance. :thumbs-up:
  6. Heres another one of that hunky guy And the night that we were stopped by the Police (Hunting Legally ) One of the Lurchers sat in their car whilst they were taking our details
  7. Thanks for all the nice replies people. Yes the terriers are very interested, I think my Patterdale has an obsession with the ferrets Im just going to have to keep at the breaking them to the ferts saga Bigeddie you got a real bargain paying £1.50 for that..... Mine was about £12 I think
  8. Today I finally finished the ferret court Im quite pushed for space so I converted a rabbit hutch and a separate run into a ferret hutch and court. They are right next to each other with access from one to the other via some 100mm drainage tubing. They seem to like it so Im quite chuffed especially since Im crap at DIY usually.
  9. Good points Ditch, when I saw it i got a shock I'll say But I am also one who likes to see hard evidence Still not using any Jeyes stuff until I know the score though (Just to be on the safe side).
  10. "I lost my ferret this morning, he died suddenly and I was at a loss to why. After posting about it on a hunting forum, I was then reliably informed the nice people who make Jeyes fluid have removed the Coal tar acids and replaced it with a chemical that is lethal to ferrets, It gets in through thier paw pads, builds up and a quick death. So this is a warning if you do use Jeyes on your ferret runs and cages!" I read this on Fieldsports Extreme and thought it best to put it here for all to see.
  11. Thankfully I'm at work and am missing it.

  15. I know its not the season but when someone gives you permission you grab the opportunity . longdogrunner and me were invited by whin off here to go and help him with his rabbit problem, there were so many rabbits I couldnt believe my eyes We started off with ferrets and had the lurchers to catch them, then we did a bit of shooting followed by lamping at night. The ground was tough going for the dogs at times and there were a few minor injuries sustained which rest will heal. It was a great day and I only showed myself up once when I didnt let Bruce loose when there was a rabbit tearing pas
  16. Hi all, and thanks in advance for any advice. Ive had my rescue ferret for just over two weeks now and in that time she's had her jill jab and is due to be spayed on tuesday. My problem is, she hardly eats anything!! I continued to make sure she had a small amount of what the girl who had her before me gave her (Dried cat complete She wont touch it though ) but Im trying to get her onto proper ferret food. Ive tried her with day old chicks, large and small mice but she only eats what the cat catches and I cant rely on her to feed my ferret She has and egg once a week and eats that no probl
