    i think it has something to do with the fact that these dogs were bred under commie rule so nothing in or out and so have retained the original form. by the way anybody know were i can get hold of a German jagd or hunting terrier over here ?

    Good point Simoman i think if and thats a big if i was going to x one i would get a GSD/Alsation from the former East German Republic or Poland as the majority that i have seen and worked with over there don't have that sloping a*** so favoured by the show community here and in "West" Germany. In fact this has been a big discussion in Germany regards standards in this breed i.e. sloping a*** or not.

    a bit where i am but i reckon that could increase as the weather gets colder and they start going to ground. a lot around my way have been living above untill now

    Hi Everybody, landed here after being on the hardcorehunting forum (anybody tell me what happened there ?) been back in England after being abroad for about 20 yrs (culture shock !!! ) have got a parson jack russel from German working line, ferrets and AA air rifle looking for a lurcher or whippet to complete the team..... cheers then anton
