  1. ha ha im glad. i remember before the elections a few years ago a certain party who would of had my vote for years. came to my door and asked would i be voting. i asked what the views were on hunting with dogs?? when i was made aware they wouldnt consider backing the approval if they thought there would of been any contraversy. i told him to f**k off and stick his panflit up his hole. good news....
  2. go on millar ye wee c**t keep up the good work. he's just a hard dog ''da big mc''. i told you that. for the record lads he has ''met his match' so to speak. considering on the scale he is on the small size. pound for pound he won't be pushed around at all. to me the problem factor is considering his size and then the way he works. inevitably the odds are against him in the long term to be honest. so he will have to learn either to bay or i can't see him keeping the same pace forever. hopefully he does find his tongue. so far it's been a pleasure digging over him. because he's always on th

  4. he's just bred worker to worker. bred off a good lakeland dog we dug with for over 12 years believe it or not. his mother was a parson russell good grafter too. died doing her work unfortunately. so he's lake russell. takes after his da though he's 10 year old and still going strong. no point in retiring them at an early age like some men i know. let them work and do what they were bred to do. cheers...........MUDD...........

  9. me and my mate the bigmc went out with the terriers last week for a dig. first stop i ran my old b+t lakeland dog ( DIGGER ). he ran the entire bank which is a double ditch and checked all the holes to no avail. when we got to the end of the bank he dropped into the double ditch and started hunting mad, nose to ground and wouldn't come back up to us. i knew there was something about. the cover was right and thick so i got him gathered and ran him back threw the holes again on the way back. just incase charlie ahd bolted from the cover and hit the bank. just as i thought the dog dropped into a
  10. Jesus man I would love a Terrier like that. He enters and walks out the only hole he enters and foxy follows him out. He must have had words with foxy below ground. lol nice 1 terryorr
  11. dogs do get lost threw various accidents though its all part an parcel of the game so you just have to deal with it. i would keep the lamp on personnally. for the simple reason the type of lurchers we have won't stop for anyway when theyre commited. we lost an extremely good black bull cross last year on the lamp chasing a silly bunny. the rabbit ran behind a roller for hooking on to tractors and the dog impailed itself on one of the irons. straight threw the chest. fox and rabbit wise he was one of the best lifting dogs i've seen in my life and a machine at dispatching the red fellas single h

  17. 100% correct, my mistake. mason never lived in ireland. my original statement still stands though. hi PADDY were in my original statement did i say that there was only one dog bought from masons line over the years???????? THATS RIGHT I DIDN'T YOU COCKMUNCH.... TYPICAL IRISHMAN JUMPING IN WITH BOTH FEET......
  18. a very very close friend of mine bought a terrier pup off gordon mason around a decade ago. now no offence to the man, as i know he is a decent lad. when i say the terrier was USELESS i mean USELESS. you wouldn't off needed a terrier box to put it in when going hunting, as you could have put this THING into your pocket never mind a box....to be honest you would have thought brian nuttall had breed it never mind gordon mason..........there you go.......MUDD......
  19. he owns most types of conventional callers though he wants opinions on what works best. i believe they all work well but in different scenarios, you're not always calling in the same fox and some foxs come in with either higher or lower pitches . foxs in the areas we would be hunting would be very 'jukie' possibly from being missed before with either dogs or rifles so at times it's difficult to get them right in. so we would pick A large field so if one comes halfway in and stops, starts losing interest, we will still get a decent run out of it. i prefer the hand but sometimes the disc or lo
