  1. Great looking pup - how did it turn out? thanks, pic was taken last week,he was the only dog pup from the litter of 6,cracking little feller worth £150 all day long but difficult to find people willing to spend that much on this type of cross, the pup i gave to a chap who did a 10hr round trip to pick the pup up. regards CP

  7. crap weekend........ lost charlie on saturday......3 dogs stay with the mrs.15yr russell,2 yr patt,9month whippet. all been getting on fine, the patt is very easy going with other dogs within the pack (inc the 3 that stay with me).noticed the whippet getting very full of him self the last couple of months so advised the mrs not to leave them together when out at work, which she took on board and split them during the day,but she went to friends house warming meal sat afternoon and left the 2 in the garden,on returning 3 hours later found charlie dead with throut wounds near the gate and zac the

  11. i think that your missing a trick to get your tally of post points up and at the same time use the oppertunity to add some new words in your posts. as i have just had my 40 and even though it's at the bottom of log in page none of you misserable buggers wished me happy birthday....never mind..ATB CP..
  12. sorry... welcome terrier girl, hope you enjoy yourself on here......they're a right funny bunch of folk, especially in the evening after they have consumed their'go to sleep medicine'. ATB CP
  13. unreal, you must sit waiting for new members, lol. welcome to the place where time never stand still...;/ Send me your name and addy mate and i will send you a pound to buy a fecking life as you seem more worried what other folk do than your own bussiness 1 Over ten thousand post of "welcome to the site" and "nice dogs mate" I think tis you who needs to get a life . hi dave,i noticed this 2 weeks ago,had to start a thread about it,the thread had a stop put on it that evening but not befor i'd earned an extra 20ish post points.
  14. i have 20 month bitch,1/4bull,still young yet but showing loads of promise, daytime bunnys no prob, has retrieved long eared bunnys, doesn't mind a bit of bushing allthough gets cut easily.very happy with her .
  15. just gone from 6 to 8 dogs ranging from 15 yrs old to 6 weeks. have 6 acres of gardens and padock, and the mrs keeps 3 of them at her house.img] complete harmony
  16. Missed that! the parents are barely more than pups themselves: why on earth breed and then keep even more when the parents aren't even in their prime yet? my dogs are companions first, workers second. the grand dam was pupped on her 3rd time of being in heat by my jrt dog, who's 15 years old because i wanted a dog pup from him and felt that time was against me.this litter arrived unplanned.so shoot me if i'm the only person that has had an unplanned litter,i'm keeping 2 back because i have the time and the space and want to. i was asking for advice not a slanging match.thanks CP
  17. i'm not sure that will be an issue, i keep 3 other dogswith me and 2 more with the mrs, the parents to litter (both young @only 2yr) and the sire's dam@3.5yr. i spend loads of time with them all.each have their own personality and needs and all give me loads back with their company, both when at home and out in the feild.
  18. i'm sure lots have an opinion but do you have first hand knowledge of keeping 2 pups back from same litter and bring them on. i'm keeping the biggest pup(the only dog)and the joint biggest bitch back, 1 person suggests this may not be a good idea(bonding with pup difficult because of bond with litter mate thinks will be a distraction). please let me know your experiances. thanks cp.
  19. all litter now homed. thanks to jd hunting and richberry79 hope you get as much enjoyment from your pups as i get from their parents.i'm keeping the brown dog&bitch in the picture above so will add to this thread as pups develop.thanks CP
