Well, first day back ferreting for the 12/13 season. Its still warm and no sign of the first frost, meaning the vegetation is still thick and high!
A nice start back though with an end of day bag of 21 bunnies.
Just wondering if anyone works bedlington terriers with them when they are ferreting.
just want to know the pros and cons realy of working them before i decide.
thanks simon
Don't have a dog myself but when out with my friend and his dog we just let her wonder and do her own thing. Found that she knows what's going on under there more than we do as she knows which hole it will be every time.
Went out yesterday for the 2nd time of the season.
cover is still very thick so could not get to all the sets we wanted to do,also the dogs did not get many runs as the rabbits were straight into cover. Good day ferreting with a bag of 19.
Just wondering how long after the jill has had the jab do you have to keep her seperate from the hob. or can they be put back together straight away.
thanks Simon.
How old are your ferrets.
it could be that she is coming into season or he is in rut.
what you have described is how the hob treats the jill when he wants to mate with her (very Rough)
