    Does your dog retrieve ? if so take him out at night with a dummy and "lamp" the dummy for him to retrieve. If not youll have to run him off a slip till you know hes sighted, he'll pickit up eventually. Good luck.

    I wish all who set out on this endeavor the very best. I think most terriermen admire and arrreciate a good working border, but i tell you what mate, when i read your post, it dint half remind me of the bedlington lads and all the wars etc that kicked off about outcrossing.     I reckon it will be a long, long, long time before we see a labour government again (thank god), secondly, most politicians have no interest in the countryside or hunting, no money in it for them, unless as someone said, they devise a tax on wildlife ! Lets not forget that this ban was bought and paid for by the RSPCA and other animal "welfare" bodies. atb Doss.

    You can buy it packaged and frozen from pet stores. LOL @ at the tripe ponging down there, i remember Fred J Taylor writing that, when ferreting in oz, the rabbits had to be kept alive in cages till the end of the day cos if necked straight away, they be gone off by the time you get home !!

    When I used to live in England, every week I would go to the local abbatoirs with 2 big black pastic bins with lids, and pick up 'paunch' [green tripe] and sheep's heads, to feed my dogs. Is there an abbatoir in your area ? Within driving distance ? Take a drive to visit one and ask if you can buy direct from them. Makes life a whole lot easier. I used to wash the ones I got and also boiled them up in an old Burco down in the back shed. They freeze better if they're cooked, and once cooked, they dont wear the dog's teeth down gnawing through them. They can be awful tough !!

    dont think the scottish goverment make any big decisions there only jumped up councellors dont think there even allowed to decide when the street lights come on Scottish "parliament" had no say in it, this was direct from westminster.     Yes dogs do survive parvo, but for a working lurcher the after effects are not good, I had one who survived, but his constitution was wrecked, his teeth never developed properly, and he eventualy died of a heart attack. Hope your pup is the exception, good luck.
