I actually had this conversation over dinner with an old pal of mine a year or so ago. He owns a fairly big freight forwarders and employs about 100 people and he was saying something very much along them lines. I said to him this, some bloke is always going to be the forklift driver.....not because of any other reason than someone in life is destined to be that. Its a fine vocation, we would all be up shit street without them......that jobs pays about £400 a week. Now, a little 2 bedroom house round my old way will cost that bloke between 1200 and 1800 a month to rent but

Mate, go and get involved in shaping your countries future, it’s something you can do quiet legally and with no threat to your FAC. its easy, you just have to put yourself out to do it.......blokes like us are never going to be prime minister but there is plenty we can do if we put ourselves out and have the bollocks to say what we think out loud. Mate, I get you I really do but it can’t be bigger, poor c**ts would be starving. We spend billions looking after every f****r in the world, 500 quid a week to look after one of our own with sick kids is cheap I reckon mate. I know lads who won’t do overtime because it just isnt worth it by the time the tax man gets his hands on it......that has to be fundamentally wrong. People shouldn’t be forced to work, it should be worth them working.
