I always think to myself, what are you rushing off to do ? Lol I totally get the frustration with some spastic who wants to take 15 minutes to get a £1 off rich tea biscuits or the pakis that do a forensic audit of there receipt and then question £0.25p like it’s Leaman brothers……I just say “Oi, that’s enough, f**k off out of it” But other stuff, I’m pretty cool…..no reason to feel bad or make others feel bad. England are a club, Europeans are a genetic group. But for the purposes of simplifying conversations then it’s easier to say Englishmen are white (which would be a truism) because it’s only in very, very, very recent history we have been committing genetic, social and cultural suicide in that group…..prior to 1947 we would have followed a fairly distinct path give or take. I won’t argue the point with you because if that’s what you believe then that’s fine, I believe something different because I know the ages of the countrys we call the home nations…..1200 years ago, if I had said to you “You are from England” you would have answered “Whats an England ?” You would have had no clue what I was talking about because it didn’t exist.

This is where the water gets muddy, “English” is not as far as I’m aware an ethnic group, same as welsh, Irish, Scots etc…..those classifications are only about a thousand years old and, for want of a better word, Tribal. Its like saying I’m West Ham or Manchester United. The home nations didn’t even exist before around the 900s…..they hadn’t even been thought up, indeed the “nation state” hadn’t even been invented. I see this said a lot mate and to be fair and with the utmost respect, it’s nonsense. Nobody is suggesting going and screaming “you’re not British” in anyones face…..it just wouldn’t happen. But if, in the course of a polite conversation, someone who is quiet clearly not ethnic European asked if you thought they were ethnic English, Welsh, Scottish or whatever you would have to say no, you are not. Its no more rude than telling a transgender man that he is in fact a man. Having honestly held opinions, especially ones based on actual facts, do not require you to hate anyone

Just musing (great word that…..”Brent mused…..” lol ) about the fact that if you asked almost anyone else in the world what makes them whatever they are they would probably look at you like you was mental ! If you had asked the same question of an Englishman a 100 years ago he would probably have done the same…….it gos to show that to even consider the question is a measure of the loss of our identity.

Love stuff like that. The word English is derived from Angli which was the Germanic tribe to land on the North Sea coast and start to colonise the British Isles, which is what pushed the indigenous Britons westward. East Anglia is derived from the same word. The Anglo Saxon “Anglkin” is the same, another linguistic stop on the road to English. An act of Union makes us British, history makes us English (or welsh or whatever) but blood makes us white Europeans !
