    23 years old this picture, the lad with the cap in the other photo is the lad gripping the bottle of champagne like grim death in this photo ! Our midfielders old man was a last minute stand in goalkeeper that day, got a roll up hanging out his mouth ! Lol He got an award that year for being 25 years in that league ! In that photo there are lads who had been youth at West Ham, Arsenal & Tottenham. We all still remain friends…..just cost a bit of effort, football is great that way.

    I always loved the Lake District, I first met a young Stiffmiester 20 years ago on the Mayors Hunt and we have been pals ever since. I have holidayed there, hunted there, fished there…..it just makes your soul feel good.

    An amount of them got jailed, but the issue wasn’t addressed honestly and treated as a racial & cultural endemic disease which it is, and many more continued and will continue to do it…..don’t forget there are whole massive schools with 3000 pupils in places like Burnley that are almost exclusively Pakistani !! This issue won’t be cured until we call it what it is.

    I think it’s worth saying that (imho) there is a massive difference between a belief/faith in something more & organised religion (a club). Let’s not forget that long before the written word our ancestors had a belief in something more and that was globally. These people didn’t even know each other existed and yet if you look their belief systems are remarkably similar, I think most of us who like the countryside and outdoors, can at least understand the feeling of something bigger than us.
