Right iv got the pup retrieving rabbits to me then putting them down a thew feet infront of me. Im pretty happy with this but would like to try and get her to hold them untill i take em from her. What can i do to get her to hold onto them? At the moment she is straight back to me drops em about 2 feet infront then she will stand there looking for her next run, her recall went to pot in the past thew weeks but last couple of nights iv had her out picking up a couple of rabbits on her own and everything is coming on, Recall is now bang on and she is sitting and staying on comand. In my opinion i don't care if handcocks breeding the best workers in the world i still wouldn't buy one because he is a PEDDLER..... just out to make money, iv seen his kennels and they wasn't as bad as i expected but still, the stud dogs where wild in small kennels and you could see its rare that they see or have any socialization with humans. They stunk and looked in shite condition really.....all fat and in no shape at all.....look like and act like they have never seen a lead. Iv got one, There not bad dogs but by the sounds of it you want abit of an allrounder, salukigreyxwhippets dont really make good allrounders in my opinion.....there just handy lamp dogs for rabbit and hare, mine is also only 23tts and about 35 pound fit......if you want a dog that will do deer and fox aswell then you would be better off with something a bit bigger. some old pics......need to get some more because she is looking a different dog now.... Bulked up alot more and getting marked up now she has seen some testing quarry.....its surprising how fast black dogs age....and little nicks n what not that on a brindle dog wouldn't even show stand out like a sore thumb. She has got a very fine coat.......her back legs got a very fine patch that looks like she is going bold.....By time she hits 3 years old she will look about 9 lol She has already got grey hairs lol haven't had her out for a propa night for past week and a half.....grounds like concrete

Mark we have our differences but each to there own.....good luck with the mating and litter. At the end of teh day its your stuff if you want to breed a litter then its down to you at the end of the day. If your dogs are doing what you want then go for it. Just make sure you use the right dog.....sorry you didn't get the bite you was expecting Witton
