    Yeah it was a good day And chris i did my best mate couldnt hide the white hair tho lol Tomo Who told yah that? Nothing stops me from getting out....i go when i please....only had to refuse one night out this season and that was purley because i had midwifes first thing the next morning....so rew would of had to leave mine first thing so i could go so it wasnt practicle...Was out all day before anyway so wasnt a complete loss... Rew will get more hen pecked than me soon with that new mrs He is at the early loved up stage....never wanting to be apart, the stage me and my girl are at now

    Got an invite off chris hickling the other day to do a spot of ferreting with him and rew.... Was a Cracking day......we had the 3 young dogs out with us... Was good to see hicklings dog mac doing a job you would never expect from a big wheaton cross and doing it very well.....much better than my bitch, the trip did her good tho she is green to ferreting and still has a long way to go, had a chat with chris tho and he gave me some pointers to sharpen her up so im going to see what happens.     I feed at night when the dog gets back to the kennels after a nights lamping.....A pound of minced butchers scraps.....biscuit/mixers and abit of rabbit on the bone......never fed in the morning aprt from with pups.....in that case i get as many meals into them a day as possible....but there not out running......I belive as long as they get a good meal at night they will wake up fresh the next day and by time darkness falls there ready to be ran with out having much crap left in there stomach still digesting.... I will give a thew tit bits tho....im im eating a choc bar on teh way out with em

    Here is my bitch bred from a half cross bitch reeces billy lines put to a line bred coursing dog....out of smokey..bred by a lad off here Turned into a nice little bitch....thrown heavy to the saluki side... would be good to see what pups she would produce put back to a bull x.....maybe a 3/8 5/8 somthing bigger and stronger....but even put back to a another saluki grey bull grey id expect a lot of the pups to throw back to the bull side and come out quite stocky...     Get him some squatting rabbits on the lamp to build the dogs confidence then if he seems ready then try him doubled up....but i wouldnt push the dog to hard some dogs mature slower then others....and spoiling the dog before its time isnt good....Just wait till next season and try on the big ears then.....     Iv done it not sure if it does much tbh.... Just makes me feel like am joining in with the chace and helping the dog that little bit more.... But tbh i dont see much difference with it unless the rabbit is running towards the beam and is with in yards then it does seem to knock them abit.....put there heads up there arse and confuses them abit giving the dog the edge....some see it as unfair.....i just see it as helping the dog get the catch...     Thanks Toddy, Looks a cracking dog will have to keep upto date as he gets older.... I like the look of the dog nor normally a fan of the brocken coated dogs but he looks a fine little worker...     Thanks lads....doesnt seem to be a very popular cross.... But id imagine the type could produce some excellent rabbit dogs... Make tough fast dogs with bags of stamina and bags of go...A very fast quick turning dog that can take a knock or to and pull through hard.... Would be the sort id be looking for next time i come to buying in a rabbiting pup... They sound a very bideable type... lets just hope someone gets some pics up lol Cheers Witton

    Does anyone run a beddie saluki greyhound cross lurcher on the lamp, maybe with a bit of whippet in aswell..... I just think this type of dog would make a very good pot filler on the rabbits.....and would make a very decent ferreting dog. Just after some pics and advice on this sort of cross.....even if there is something else thrown in aswell just very interested in knowing what this sort of dog would be like on the lamp....
