  1. any EXPERIENCED pigeon shooters fancy a day out check my topic in the pigeon shooting section. cheers lads
  2. hi guys im looking for an experienced pigeon shooter to help me out with a bit of permission i have its in leicestershire and will be on a sunday, (morning start) ive been a few times as i know the farmer through work, as much as i enjoy pigeon shooting its not one of my favourite quarry when it comes to hunting and im a bit of a beginner when it comes to pigoen shooting so i could do with an experienced shooter to give me a hand, also ive never had a hunting mate before so if we get on there is no reason why it cant become regular, so if any one fancies a go on some different permission pm me
  3. the first step is to get the farmer to sign a permission slip saying that you can shoot and what you can shoot, then ring your feo and tell him you have new permission and want to get it cleared they will then visit the farm and say yes or no.
  4. what a great post mate its post like that that stop the rest of us giving up, ive been looking for permission for my fac now for about 8 months, but im lucky and do have 220 acres for pigeion with a shotgun and aniother permission over the winter too also for pigeion and 20 acres for rabbits with an air rifle to keep me busy, but my fac is waht i really want and its great to hear from peoplr like you who have struggled for so long and finally got something, glad all the hardwork paid off for you mate enjoy your permission All the best adam
  5. like the lads said mate .22 hornet is your best option after that you step up quite a notch to .222, .223 ect and MOST forces will not issue them on a first grant, and if your lucky enough to get one it will almost certainly have a mentoring condition. atb adam
  6. thats a good point i would listen to mr logic, not being a brown nose but he does have more experience than me,
  7. nice one mate my missus actually asked me if she could come to shoot some clays with me the other day i couldnt believe it, mind you i doubt id get her out in the field, but you never know,
  8. A .22 will the job fine for rabbits, .17 hmr will do for longer range shooting, rabbits, crows ect and can be used for close range fox, however you would be best to speak to your feo about wether or not you would get a .17hmr for fox on your ticket, some constabularies do grant it for fox some do not (so i have heard) the ideal rifle for fox would be something like a .223, but i doubt you will get this on a first application and if you do it would almost certainly come with a mentoring condition, you could try for a 22wmr which would be fine too but being a centre fire most constabularies woul
  9. hi guys well ive been trying to gain permission so i can apply for my fac for over a year now to no avail, and recently someone gave me the idea of joining a syndicate, and i thought this would be the best place to start, so if anybody knows of a syndicate in the leicestershire or midlands area with any available places or can help it would be very much appreciated. Best regards Adam
  10. yes thats right it is shooting.sh any one heard of it
  11. hi guys im currently looking to joining a rough shoot syndicate, the syndicate is a business there is one guy who obviously has the permission and he then charges £350 a year and there are about 8 slots available, ive spoke to him and he has lots of permissions all around the uk, where i will be able to shoot, you can obviously keep whatever you shoot, you can also lamp both fox and rabbit, he can also provide a mentor if needed for centrefire rifles, and if you wish to pay £750 a year you get both rough shooting and deer stalking ( this includes various estates around scotland ) again a me
  12. yes mate thats fine, with a shotgun you can store the ammo where ever you like, its when you move up to a firearms certificate and are storing rifle ammo that you have to have a cabinet with a top locking compartment, or a seperate ammo safe which ever you prefere, but with a shotgun your fine mate. all the best with the application.
  13. tyring to get some gotta blood print the ones on the missus's camera as she wont let me delete any
