  1. FAO came this morning and went through my application and everything went well and told me to expect the certfiacate through in 4 weeks. Result What he did say though, is that I should get a seperate safe to keep my cartridges in rather than keep them locked up with the gun in case I did get broken into and even though its not a legal requirement to it would be sensible because I have 2 young children aswell..Which I total agree and will be getting one before I do start keeping any cartridges at home..
  2. I take it that they are really popular.. NOT.. Will have a look at the Lanber and Bettinsoli.. Feel free to comment on these two guns..
  3. Thanks for the info guys.. See your point about keeping ammo in seperate safe.. Would be interesting to know how others store there cartridges..
  4. Well chaps I'm taking the plunge from the air rifle to the shotgun.. Been having a couple of lessons at a clay ground, sent my application off last friday, got cabinet bolted to wall yesterday, FAO phoned this morning to say he's comming Monday.. Now I think I've got everything covered when he starts asking me questions apart from 1 thing. Where am I going to store the cartridges ? Am I ok to store them with the gun in the cabinet ?
  5. i have one of these, over and under 3 inch magnum, single trigger, chrome lined barrels, been a great gun, wouldent part with it Which gun do you have Mick ..

  8. Married with 2 kids.. Boy 8 and girl 4 who's autistic, so get out when I can with the gun..
  9. Good shooting fella and nice looking gun too. What make is that.. Dont have 1 myself but looking into getting my cert and first gun next year in time for the stubble..

  11. Welldone fella, and a great read too..
  12. Hi Aaron, Is this bipod for your lightning ? If so, I thought that generally that bipods weren't any good on springers or is there anybody on here that does use one with there springer .. Nothing to do with this post, but my lightning is away being serviced right now, and will be ready for harvest time when the woodies come. On one of my permis they grow corn for thatching and harvest the old fasion way and stook it up in the fields for a 2 weeks before bringing it in. The woodies love it and make good shooting when landing on top of the stooks..
  13. Getwell soon fella.. Think thats a wake up call if ever there was one to us all
