    hi lads and lasses, i have, to put it bluntly, cocked up. i brought my new .17hmr last friday, my gun dealer typed up the notification letter that you have to send to the police within 7 days (can you guess where this is going yet)anyway my rfd told me to send the letter recorded post, incase it should be lost, so that was my intention first thing monday morning and i put it nice and safe in my glove box, well i forgot, my week has been crazy and i totally forgot until i went in there today, any way i took it straight to my local police station at 6:30 but the firearms team had left, it was tr

    They are the same .224 caliber, just different cartridges. Greg i know this i just thought you had to state the exact calibre/cartridge you wanted no mate you can just put .22cf if you like that way you get a better choice in the gun shop

    hi mate i noticed a while ago you put a post on here asking if anyone had an old damaged or unwanted springer, for a little diy project and to use on the new video, i am aware you have now found one, but i have an old bsa airsporter (i found it in the attic of my house) it is an underlever springer, it has definately seen better days, if you want it mate its yours, its just gathering dust doing nothing and i dont have the skill or knowledge to do it up, would be good to see it in good condition again. it still shoots and appears to be fairly powerful, anyway mate let me know.. all the best

    the ase is better built and would work better on the hmr but you wouldnt tell the difference enough to make any really benfit. if i was paying £90 for a mod i would get the dm80. its nicely built and over barrel so keeps the rifle more compact. the ase mods are pretty long cheers mate

    as stated has anyone had any experience with these jet z rimfire moderators, what are they like compared to the sak moderators? at my local gunshop theere is quite a difference in price the sak mods being about £30 and the jet z mods being about £90, i would very much appreciate it if all the rifle experts out there could give me any info, thanks for reading, best regards adam

    I'm sure FD will get back to you but to clarify a bit I believe he is suggesting mouth/hand, not just hand! You can make all sorts of squeaks, calls with your mouth/hand, that's all I used for years until a couple of years ago, after standing in the pouring rain, in the freezing cold with a gale force wind blowing, out of nowhere a fox turns up, I did everything I could to get some sort of a squeak out of my mouth but nothing worked, so I decided to get a caller. Got a FOX CALL, doesn't work any better than the hand/mouth, but I can usually make it work even when I am shivering to deat

    i totally agree however it was not a standard airgun he used it was fac rated, that does make a big difference, i think there is really no right or wrong answer here, if he left it to suffer that is inhumane, however using an airgun is also jugded as inhumane, but using an fac rated airgun at 15 yards aimed in the right place would do the trick imho although using any kind of airgun on a perfectly healthy fox at any kind of distance is unacceptable

    the alcohol fact doesnt help either mate, they will look at it like this you are having trouble with your ex missus, you got drunk and then went banging on her door, what you do if you had access to firearms, at the end of the day they dont know you as a person they only know what their records tell them, the fact that you were drunk while doing it will be your downfall imho, but as said ring them and explain, but i think it would be best to wait untileverything has calmed down with the ex, i wish you all the best with your application though mate. atb adam

    foxdropper when you say call with your hand do you mean literally that, you will have to excuse my ignorance fox shooting is something i am just getting in to i thought the electronic callers were the way forward, if you could explain some more it would be very much appreciated, atb adam
