  1. Oxo was thinkin about the rabbits also and had thoughts about tryin to raise chickens of fancy breeds but would probably need incubator and things which is more out lay. But would fancy a try at the rabbits
  2. Was thinking along the lines of making things like that was also thinkin of garden planters terrier boxes dove cote stuff like that but would it be a good earner after all the time making them? Have tried with budge breeding but didn't rear enough to make profit on

I have my self a rather large allotment half of which is planted with vegetables, a small area lawn for the kids to play, I keep a few hens and have a large flight with mixed caged birds.I also have a large shed work shop.Just wonder if any one has ideas of small projects or things I could do to make a few quid from my garden to help with food and general up keep of my plot cheers
  4. Had chickens in the same spot for about 5 year now and never had any problems till I got the new 4this year but will defiantly try the grit and fingers crossed. Cheers
  5. Searched high and low for eggs just no sign of anything they have a good sized area but all fenced off as there on allotment. Defiantly young birds have bought chickens from this guy before and they were excellent he is a good bloke. Never used grit as was told if they are outside they get what they need from the ground?

To be honest don't think anything is takin them as some days i am down there from early morning to evening and never see anything goin on. 4of the chickens were point of lay about 3month ago and were laying good then all of a sudden nothin. Cost best part of 50 quid for 4 and no eggs but still bag after bag of food.

  9. Ok will give it a try. My other thoughts were may be rats squirrels or Maggie's. My allotment is right on the edge of woods but never seen anything bothering them

  11. Hi all. Just wanting some advice, I have 9 chickens. 4 of which were purchased about 3month ago as point of lay. All 4were laying and the other 5older birds were laying every other day. Since I put the new birds together with the other older birds they all stopped laying after about 2weeks and haven't started again this has been about 2 and a half month. Worm ed them and no signs of red mite. I also have lots lots of squirrels in my area that I try and keep on top of with the air gun and traps. Any ideas what's wrong?
  12. This might sound stupid but how would I find out the times of high tides and stuff. I don't know much bout the sea world. Haha.
  13. Was at oban two year ago caught mackeral all day long then the following year fished same place for a week not not bite. Normally spin in reservoirs like the derwent but wanna get into the sea fishing more. No license or anything needed just nice cheap fishing. Cheers will have a look on the sea world thing

  16. just got new camera for xmas, didnt want anything to big and bulky to carry so went for the sony hx1, just wondering if you lot think its anygood and will i get good pics from it??

  20. so how does this model work does it give the dog pain or just vibrate, have you used one on your dog,if so did it work well?
  21. would like some advice on the spray remote control collars.my neighbours are moaning about the noise of my dog through the day when im at work, was gonna try a spray collar but then found out you can also get remote ones for control outside but i dont no if you can set them to work automatically when the dog is alone???? any advice would be great. thank you

  23. when you say start from scratch do you mean start him back on the lead going past the odd person till he gains more confidents? his recall and everything else is great and if i throw sticks as people pass he totaly ignores them but if he isnt occupied he chases which like ya said maybe the exercise and boredem thing. looks like longer walks and harder exercise, hope my terrier can keep up!! thanks
  24. hi all,just wanting some help about my spaniel he is just over 1 year old,we got him at 7weeks old and from day one he was very jumpy and scared of loud noises or alot of people,when hes out off the lead and people go past he gives chase,barking and jumping up. any advice on how to stop this would be great. dont want it getting out of control and worried incase he starts biting. any ideas? thanks
  25. i have a bsa gun with nikko stirling 4x40 scopes they are both quite old but i still like the way they work and im happy with what ive got and from target shooting ive done i think im quite a good shot but do understand it will be more tricky goin after living moving stuff but carnt wait to try! at whatdistane can you hit within a 1 inch circle? do you know what bsa model you have? not sure what distance as i only really used it when i was younger and wasnt really into it that much. not sure what model looked all over it but can only see numbers 7593. is that the model number?
