  1. doin well with training now and starting to get some good speed in him and building up nicely. should I be getting him onto rabbits now or is he still to young? cheers

  4. got the spelling of that wrong it's daynes pride. bear do you know of any of them dogs through that line or not. curious to see if he is from good stuff. lol
  5. have been trying to find it on the kc site for weeks but didn't really no what I was doing. lol. the family we got him from also kept horses and bred terriers and I think they might of had something to do with a scrap yard or something close to were they lived but not sure. cheers mate
  6. my mam recently bought a whippet pup from morpeth but never asked the see the parents. there kennel names are Danes pride. and kenIne sweet harmony just wondering if any one knows the dogs interested to see what they are like, they are both working dogs. cheers for reading
  7. my neighbour used to have a big cross breed like a staff but massive. was locked in kennel all day when he was working used to bark constantly all day. as the streets we live in are quite tight, fish bowl type houses. it was like the dog was actually in our front room. never complained my self but the busy bodies of the street did. this went on for about two year maybe more and nothin could be done as it wasn't doin it at unsociable hours. apparently!!!
  8. not much they can do mate. my brother had this problem he Had visits from r s p c a but they said the dog was fine and very well looked after so neighbour took it up with the noise people and there isn't much the can do if it's between the hours of 7am and 11pm pretty much let him bark. lol
  9. spot on thanks for the advice can't wait to get goin next year and give it another go. bred some nice birds this year, my first attempt lol. think I will let them do there own thing next year and use my cages for some canaIrIes just got my self lovely pair of red factors they look nice fit birds. but will keep my eyes open for more. this bird keeping is addictive. lol
  10. do you find letting them breed like that is better than pairing them up in cages? I tried pairing in cages this year and was very disappointed to the amount of young that hatched and actually survived.
  11. hi all just wondering if any one breeds budgIes if so when do most people start and finish each time of year. I have a flight and shed with out heat or lights so what do you lot advise? is there any ways of heating with out electric as I have my set up on allotment? any tips or helpful advice would be great thanks

  13. classes are no good to me as my work pattern would mean I would miss every other weeks. was hoping to just potter about in my spare time now that the weather is turning bad. would love to get it sorted and make a top job. cheers
  14. so apart from the money side of it and having to clean them out there was nothing wrong with the actual hatchings ie the health of the birds and growth etc. what poultry do you keep?

  16. chill out fellas lol. was just wanting to have a go with me son let him watch them hatch and stuff he is only two but is loving our allotment we keep chickens, tumblers and just started breeding budgIes this year and he loves being down there getting dirty and learning. just thought the hatchings could be somethin to do over winter now the weather is bad.cheers

  18. no bother its advice I'm after, but if there no good this time of year then why is there so many fertile eggs for sale this time of year? as I said I've never done it before!!!
  19. yeah will bring them on in a brooder with heat lamps. if there not set till January this means they won't be laying till the back end of summer will they? any help is great as never done it before and would like to get into it a bit. what's the best to start off with ie good hatch rates and easy to rear and stuff?
  20. if there set January then there not gonna be good to lay till the back end of the summer then they won't lay much through winter with the dark nights etc or am I wrong? only just starting so any help is great. what's a good breed to begin hatching, ie good results easy to rear?
  21. just got me self a incubator. is it worth hatching some out now so they will be ready to lay straight away next spring or are winter hatchings no good?
  22. was thinking if I set them away now by the time they hatch and become pol they will lay all next year from early on. is this no good?

I also do bits of air gun shooting down my allotment, just grey squirrels add rats, get quite a few as it's on the edge of large woods and I keep chickens and a few tumblers also have a large ava Iry with canarys and beiges so try and keep on top of the pests. cheers
  25. that would be great free of charge is always nice. lol. as for the offer of having a day out are you sure you want a complete novice out with ya. ha ha would love to tag along would be spot on
