what dogs can you name , which you would class as ' top notch ' back in the day , not bitchs , i want to hear opinions on DOGS that have made an impression both running and producing , i know some dogs will have ran better than they could produce , and also vice versa , can produce better than they ran themselves .
Run what you run , on what ground you run on what game you run , and f**k what anyone else thinks. My dogs do what I need. And thats what matters , if my game was lamping , and running short fields , id get a dog for that job , if I run big land I get dog for that job , how many beddy x whippets run fens , ? Get a dog to suit your needs. Fact.
heres a quick pic of my coursing pup , getting ready for harvest - 10 months old , direct grandson of ' shearer ' - dam of pup is an old bitch shearer x ruby .
People seem to think its all one sided , if someone uses a stud , and offspring isn't up to scratch , why isn't it ever the dams faults , always the studs . It's 50/50 , same as pups themselves , 50/50 ....50% breeding 50% upbringing.
A dogs what you make it , time , pateince , don't rush getting it out just because your mates have something to run , get the basics in , a good bond , recall , retrieve , and the rest should come with instinct , good luck with your pup mate.
Tobey is past the daytime game , gets lamped on occasion for bit fitness , and fun for the old dog. People have their own views on variety subjects , do what you do , not others , ;-)
Your right about that , but can't deny has been some class acts , my mate owns a bitch , of unknown parents as was rescued from a centre at 3 months old but at 4 years old now can run the big land as good as any. But the topic in question is about the animals that have been in the spotlight so to speak.

What's peoples opinions on what dogs have been 'matched' and tested , and also are good producers of stock , been some great dogs running over past years. Whats your views.
