    i am very willing to put the effot in cuase i have fished runs waters and caught decent fish but i want to catch fish which is more of a task ,something i have to work for, i think the weed id candian pondweed so will have to put some partical on the spot during the week and in the mean time put a bag among the weed and one just off it until a spot has cleared ,iam very gratefull of your help and well keep you informed .ie next weekend ok but lets keep on the carp . ps i place my lead in the clip and only a little way and just pva the end so on any take the lead will free itself but thanks

    This is a very frustrating situation i come across it myself on a local 18 acre park lake that i fish, The thing is with weed carp love it, its full of natural food bloodworm and crawlers so they naturaly visit these areas for food on a regular basis. Also weed retains heat, so at night when the surrounding water tempreture is dropping at night, fish are therefore drawn to these warmer areas, it in effect acts like a radiator, try it for yourself cast into it at night and bring some in feel how warm you will be surprised.     what size carp are you takling about mate, like the idea but the presention has got to good as these carp are very wary i have had carp up in to the 30s using it i use a hook lenth as long as i think i can get away with say the lake is 8 foot and the weed are up 5 foot in the water ill use a 3ft hook lenth i usuly load the feeder with hemp dog biscuts crushed sencus tootie frootie ground bait flavering then add a hand full of bred particuls that i pushed threw a maggit riddle or some 1/4 inch welded mesh. i found out about the floating feeder from a articul in IPYCF a few years back

    hi everyone fishing a gravel pit at the minute which ive fished for a few years now but not had a lot of success ,its around 4 aches and depths vary and theres round 60 -70 carp in ther people dont have a great deal of luck cause everyone does the norm including me hitting gravel bars ,islands,and far margins also close ones but my question is there a loads of carp which are boshing over thick weed and splashing like mad,but apart from zigs is there any way i can fish the weed, bags are an option but its a good chuck at around 90 yards ? :search: :search:

    so do you people think collie/greys are up for the task in question or maybe good for the ood one but not all the time?i think myself they have the abillity to be a really good dog thats not from my experience to say but a familiy member had one which DID day light hare and fox,rabbit,hare in the lamp
