  6. hi my names matt 32 from taunton somerset <i have always been in liove with fieldsports since i saw a stag hunt on exmoor at 8yr old i have also kept ferrrets int the past i really want to get out and do some ratting as i cant dedide between a running dog or a tyke if anyone would be willing to let me tag a long i would tret them their permission and dogs with respect i havent any friends who are into the same things so could do with meeting like minded people , i realise their is a lot of dicks about i m not one of them i just need asomeone to show me the fun of ratting my phone no is 0795
  7. seeen a 2 year old staffy cross lab yesterday dont think its a lab cross as its a really lightly built male about 19tts i can have a trial should i take a chance ive beeen offered a very good price for him and if he didnt do the job i needed i would still keep him as i like the look of him any advice appreciated if not im going to buy a young whippet grey bull and put in the work myself the only reason i want a grown dog so quick is so i can go out and not be gettin in trouble but i understand if you want a good dog you only get out what u put in

  11. thanks for your reply poacher i too used too read the dbp books when i was younger they started my intrest in fieldsports and would not know of hancock except for readin about him.I know with lurchers what you put in training wise has a lot to do with it ,but i wont be gettin a hancock dog now too many seem to be in rescue centers and i dont want a dog thats not bred from workers.

  15. thanks everyone for their answers.it seems to me dog breding of any sort throws up some good uns and some bad.but if you are genuinley puttin the best to the best for their workin ability and not profit you cant be faulted.

  17. im confused phoned mr hancock the other day he doesnt work any of his dogs they are too valuable apparentley.I dont want to be funny but why breed of dogs that dont work does he just rely on hearing how the pups turn out from the owners?I know mr hancock has been involved with lurchers for a long time but if he was alurher man how come he doesnt work any dogs??this is not an attack on mr hancock just a question
  18. hi matt32 here from taunton and im into all fieldsports hopefully gettin a lurcher pup to bring on after my missus gives birth in 5 days she thinks im lookin forward to gettin my pup more but im not its just i have waited a long time to be in a position to own a lurcher now that i am cant wait.I used to work on a trout farm am between jobs at mo but dont care what i do as long as its outdoors.good luck for october mate.all the best matt32 thanks mate when you get your pup you are welcome to come out and let your pup run along side mine when its oldenuff if you wonted clabby
