  1. Yes i thought the culling of pups after a certain age could be all heresay. As you say they are Marmite. I refuse to listen to reviews esp when there mixed and could be chinese whispers, i am going the weekend to meet the pup and have a look around so will make my own mind up. The first dog advertised is wearing a collar so maybe that could mean they have been lead training/socialising him and getting him out and about? Not sure might be wrong. Its a cracking looking dog pup though. It dosnt look overley suspiscous/nervy of whoever is pointing the camera.
  2. Tbh the husband dosnt like Merles either but ive always found them awesome to look at Cheers guys will do a write up on him after my visit Saturday. Am like a bairn at Christmas
  3. And TBF theres nothing wrong wanting a specific colour. Ive to live with n look at him for the next 15yr afterall (hopefully)
  4. Fair play but hes simply reserved. I am under no obligation to buy him if hes not what im after personality wise Hence why visiting to meet him ect.
  5. I waited for a a blue merle, smooth coated 3/4 - 1/4 border by albus or merlin to be born ready to leave after march and here he is Never know I might go meet him and fall for something different
  6. I havnt been yet. Hoping to have a look round this Saturday and to meet the Pup. So many mixed views but what the fact they say you can visit any day between 9.30 - 4.30 no appointment ect essential would tell me theyve nothing to hide. Spoke to a lot who says there animals are fit and healthy, clean conditions, well fed but not exercised much. Here is pup as he is now at 4 week old.
  7. I have only got to this post, im full of girl flu and this nearly killed me off ?????
  8. On the site atm they have some a few weeks older? So not sure tbh
  9. I was told there kept until they sold
  10. Lovley little thing atb with him. Gotta admit love that pbt
  11. Bearing in mind im not going spefically for a working dog. Working parents arnt really important to me
  12. Oh hes going to be exposed to as much as the world has to offer from day one. Steady away as not to overwhelm him like. Im looking forward to it all tbh. Atb
  13. Thanks guys. Yeah maybe the any dog catching rabbits was a bit OTT It just entered my head my old GSD/LAB cudnt catch a cold but she tried bless her. Fair point
  14. Exactly my point he has no balls. Hes a rescue dog he knew nothing when he came to me and hes recall was zilch. He now comes back 99.9% of the time unless something upsets/worry him then he goes into meltdown. So i think ive trained him quite well tbh. He can do come back, sit, retrieve, down, stay & blind stay. I dont claim to be a worldbeater trainer TBH I dont NEED bags of Speed (most mutts can catch a rabbit), Stamina and Balls ( wont be doing anything bigger than a bunny so not dosnt have be hitting teeth single handed and fighting off lions) like said pup will try his hand at things
  15. No your telling me. Ive had this guy 4 years. He's a rescue. Background unknown and hes a nervous wreck. When he's happy he's very happy but look at him the wrong way and he LITERALLY fucks off with the nearest family and i mean literally. Weve had 4 years of trying, consoling him, ignoring him, rewarding happy state of mind, everything...as you say its just not there. Husband says "let it go!" and walks off embarrassed, i always go and talk him into coming back
  16. 350 True Busher they do have there own minds to be fair but id say a lot is how its brought up esp obediance wise
  17. Cheers Jerry. I agree with most if not all dogs its down to what you put into em
