start small with a tad food in yer hand and get some one to hold him back 5/6ft from the obstacle and just call him each time he comes to you give him a reward and build up from Thar this method works for me.never had a dog that canny jump after a bit of training .

to me all lurchers have to be able to jump . a dog that jacks at a fence and watches its quarry run away into the distance ain't much good is it.
when learning them to jump barb wire use some of that lagging for pipes so they don't get ripped till they get the hang of it just makes it that bit safer.
