Thanks, i reckon it cant be good for them being cramped all the time. it must be like asking a couch potato to do a hard days graft, asking a ferret that barely moves all day to chase rabbits for hours! Well common sense tells me a ferret who is allowed some freedom is going to be better toned than a ferret who has a very basic hutch & no run to explore

HOW ABOUT A FRUIT MACHINE THESE FERRET HUTCHES ARE LOOKING MORE LIKE CENTRE PARKS EVERY DAY THEY MUST BE HAPPY I SUPPOSE The way i see it is if you expect your ferrets to do a decent days work you house them correctly, a ferret living in cramped conditions isnt going to be much use really

I wont have any more cats either when this one has gone, and i had 4 ferals who had to be caged to stop them killing, far worse than any domestic cat i had , wont be doing that again in a hurry either

I dont think cats would just appear in a strange garden if there were dogs roaming freely within the garden.

I am a cat owner but i think cat owners have a responsibility to make sure there animals are neutered, if they breed to sell then the animals are usually housed in runs out doors, but i think pet cat owners should neuter, it stops the fighting & straying, then you reduce the possibility off adding to numbers & cats going off there territory , trouble is cats are one of the few species that people can & sadly do collect & then when the numbers build up you get over crowding problems . females giving birth to god knows how many litters & it goes on like that untill the s

but how would you know it had no owner ? In fact, I dont think it matters if the cat is stray or not. There was a thread on here somewhere a few months ago. Some lad was worried, as on one of his permissions, a cat had come through the hedge, and one of his lurchers had it. The owner of the cat, then threatened him with legal action. Someone looked it up, but like I say, I'm not 100% sure, but they posted that, whenever a cat comes onto your property, it becomes your property. (Ill probably get a load of abuse from cat owners now!) Feral cats can be controled as i understand it

Jule is the stray cat an entire tom by any chance ? had a simmilar problem here with a male cat some yrs back & it was a bloody nuicence , the dam thing would attack my old cat & sprayed all over everything marking its territory, my lurcher used to see the thing off the garden
