Now i know where they are i will do my best to try & get a half decent photo, it was a flash of green went right over the water , never seen one before up there, still got a green woodpecker to photograph as well , so hopefully i will get lucky Thanks for the tip no probs kay ,i only ever seen 1 green woodpecker as we dont get many were im from ,seen it down in wales very shy bird you,ll do well to get a good shot of him ...good luck just put apair of greens up while walking the mutts , no lens for the slr yet though what lense have you gone for ?
  3. i wouldnt let him put hours you havent worked through your wages, it will effect you final salery when you get your p60 next April & if you claim working tax credit then the final figure for the year will be higher than you actually earned cheers kay i kinda thought it could be bit complicated. To be honest if the extra hours he is anticipating on working amounts to just a few a month then it wont make that much difference to his own tax & NI contributions The issue he has is he wont get paid for the extra hours he works over his contracted hours, but he will get paid

    Nipping

    I find most ferrets come round if you allow them a little time to settle & give them a good supply of nice fresh meat, i also find handling after a meal seems to make them less likely to nip or bite , theres lots of reasons why they bite, fear , hunger , excitment .

  13. That big cob i have been watching for months was the culprit , he set about his own brood & then had that other cob when it got a bit to close to his pen. Then bugger me if he didnt fly a pair off the pool , all the birds were aggitated today , i am up there tomorrow to watch them if its not wet

  16. the lights helped , i will find it a real challenge in dull lighting though, still summat to get my teeth into over the coming months
  17. It was making me cringe they really do scrap & wack each other really hard , all the birds were at it , think it was because the geese where there & they were getting most of the bread , 3 loaves i had to buy today

I nearly missed the set to , i was busy looking at what i had previously taken i enjoyed today a lot i met a chap who told me where to find loads of different fungus & he pointed me in the direction of a website thats run by a bloke in the village i live in, so all in all a great day Pity i couldnt get the kingfisher , just to dam slow
