Hi all just looking some advice on when is the best time to cut shanks for stick making. I know that some people say "when you see it cut it or someone else will cut it" but what time should we be cutting shanks. Cheers

Well for me it went ok athough i didnt shoot anything i did walk up the river and came to a big corner and put up a big flock of 25 - 30 mallard. Well i will try again tomorrow.

Just looking some information about the upcoming Inter Club Test - Gosford Castle on Saturday 6th August. Glad you like the sticks hopefully have a few more made soon and will post some pictures. i am really after some hints and tricks about making them. have a load of shanks cut but need to wait for them to season. Out of interest what sort of money would they sell for. i know that it would not be much and i would not want to think of the hours put into some of them.
