    Yes a guy I know has one,he`s about 26"tts,does everything and gets worked quite hard.Better coat than a bull greyhound as well.

    A phantom pregnancy will usually last the full pregnancy term(9 weeks).If she`s producing milk she`s nearly done.My bitch had one last year.She`ll be fine straight after and back in shape in no time.

    It`s a good book,very informative about all aspects of lurcher work,and lurcher care etc.Brian Plummer was a very intelligent,knowledgable man whose advice based on his experience should not be dismissed.Ted Walsh` Lurchers and Longdogs is also a good book.

    What about the New Zealand Huntaway?I`ve never heard of one used to produce lurchers.They`re bigger,stronger and more aggressive than a Kelpie.I`ve seen a few bring down a sheep and hold it when required to do so.

    Mate, it's only hearsay, but the guy who supposedly bred the 1st Bull Arabs, told his mates that his bull bitch had been mated by his old dog "Arab" !! It wasn't a Saluki, just the name he called the dog ! The "BullArab" never shows any Saluki traits, and I doubt that Salukis were available at stud, especialy to pig dogs, back in those days ! Cheers. Interesting.There`s a lot of differing views. The ridgeback,borzoi,deerhound have all been in Oz for years,so I don`t see why the saluki hasn`t.     According to Boardogs website,the sighthound used to produce the first Bull Arab dogs was Saluki,hence the name.

    As an Aussie,can you let us know what way a straight Bull Arab is bred.The pig dogs I`ve read about are Bull Arab crossed with mastiffs,EBT,ridgebacks and even Great Danes.Are the dogs up there on Stabs` post straight Bull Arabs or crosses?     The Aussie`s seem to prefer Bull Arabs(Bull x saluki) and Bully Staghounds(Bull x big rough lurcher)to Bull Greyhounds.What do you think?I think that people in the UK are tunnel visioned,thinking if the bull cross has something else in it other than bull and greyhound it`s not as good.I think the Aussie`s have got it right.A Bull over a proven lurcher bitch must produce better pups than a bull over an unproven greyhound bitch.What do you think?Anyone have either a Bull Arab or Bully Staghound?
