  1. Take him out with other dogs that work, lamping or bushing.Daytime bushing will be good now for a young dog, plenty of young rabbits about.I like taking a youngdog with me on the lamp, they`re less likely to be distracted and will focus more on what you and the experienced dog are doing.I did this with my own dog when he was a pup and after a few weeks he became very interested.Good luck.
  2. All black, like his dad Top Honcho.I`ll email you them tonight(still in the wife`s camera). My bitch came home today after spending the last 4 days with the stud. She was there morning `till evening but I collected her and brought her home every night to get a good night`s kip. She`s been standing for him for the last 4 days but he was a bit shy at first. For the last 2 days she`s been coming home with the shoulder area of her back covered in the greyhound`s saliva,so cross fingers and wait now for the first signs in 3 or 4 weeks.
  3. To get a similar sized bitch, probably racier frame with lighter bone structure. Then I`ll have two big bitches that I can put anything over either of them in the future, including my beddy greyhound/wheaten greyhound dog.I wouldn`t mind trying one of Dave Platts` first cross deerhound greyhound stud dogs in the future.
  4. You remember Gruff then Fence Hopper? My bitch has a rough silvery coat. no mate never heard of him. about when was this dog around who had him. if he's well known, i'll defently know someone who's heard of him or seen him run are you close to anglsey mate Send me your number I`ll give you a ring.
  5. Thanks. She`s fit for a big girl,70lbs.The sire`s racing weight was 68lbs(31kg),he`s a bit lighter now(less muscle)since retiring.

  7. Thanks mate. She`s from lines of Deerhound greyhounds on both sides. One line goes back 20 years to a famous dog around Gwynedd and Anglesey called Gruff.I know a few lads in this area that also have dogs from these lines. The dogs are all big(26"-29"),strong,rough coated, very fast with huge prey drive(that`s why the lines are kept going and I`m keeping a bitch). They are referred to locally as "staghounds".They`re very similar looking to some of those Coyote hounds of the USA.They are not pets and will only go to working homes.
  8. Have just emailed photos and contact numbers to you.
  9. Personally I don`t think steroids used by humans would have the same effect on dogs. Then again if there are performance enhancers for humans there could easily be for dogs eg marrowbone viagra
  10. Nice strong pup,he`s still got some growing to do yet.
  11. Will he grow much taller? What height are the dam and sire?
  12. Gwynedd,North Wales.I`m not in it for the money,I`m breeding for a bitch for myself, the rest can go to working homes for a bargain price(in my opinion).I can e/mail you some good photos of my bitch, she`s a cracker(I can`t upload them on here at the moment).
  13. My deerhound greyhound bitch is in season at the moment and I had a few dogs in mind for her.I`m after keeping a bitch for myself. After much consideration I have chosen a retired racing greyhound(Top Honcho lines)who I`m told has amazing early speed/acceleration.He`s all black,26" tts and is of lighter bone structure to my bitch who`s rough coated and 26.5" tts.The guy who owns the greyhound raced him professionally for years. The greyhound looks in really good shape and is very alert. He had a few others but were all too big for my liking.I`ll be taking her there this weekend.
