I've heard that dogs dont like them as they smell different, we had a couple of people on one of the shoots i go on that always wanted any woodcock shot at the end of the day...i use to cry my eyes out, they only wanted them for retrieve training..... after the session they just threw them in the bin!!!!!!....

LDR, can you remember that woman who came down the field we were ferreting screaming at us??!! On that ocassion we didnt have permission to be there but it was a genuine mistake on my behalf - I had just crossed the border of my permission by about 1 metre!, a couple of phone calls later though and I had written permission to be there, the land owner was furious that we had been told to get off the land and told us to go there anytime we wanted to do rabbit control, he even asked for a description of the woman so he could go and give her a piece of his mind! Some of jultaylors permission is on very public land, but for the council and we've had probs with it several times...... the police knocking on my door on xmas eve was a classic!!! we even managed to get pics of one woman on the phone reporting us!!!!! i'll see if she's got it, f*****g classic!!!! bottom line is, if you aint breaking the law they cant touch you...... All joking aside, i was surprised to see mine at nil so it shows that they aint just slapping them on for every little thing, i'd be interested to see peoples levels for some recent posts, we'll see if its effective now its open to us to see if it stops all the silly shit!!!!

what model would be good in the still range for bramble and heavy use ? have a look at the stihl website, the fs10 looks to be top spec but it dont give a price. depends on things like how often you're gonna use it, how heavy are we talking, i'd go for the handlebar model on whatever one you go for!!!

I've got an fs55r and its spot on, you cant really go wrong with stihl unless its a shit second hand one!!!! but for £500 you'll be able to get a proper goodun!!!
