  1. I've got stuff that the dog wardens use for protection of parvo and the like, its blue in colour, you cant buy it though, just need to make friends with your local dog warden!!!!!
  2. have you won.... ....... fecking classic!!! if it makes you feel better, i reckon you're right, your little 22in dog could wipe the floor with my 28in dog, hope you can make the journey later in the year, there's a few lads that'd like to see these elite creme de la creme dogs you have in action......... ........ are they doing flights from mars yet???
  3. Well mark, you've cheered me up today, been off work today cos i'm full of cold so proper bored, was sitting wondering what i could do to entertain meself, and then it was like a eureka moment....... ask you a question and wait for it all to unfold.......... ........ you're good value for money, i was just about to write saying i didnt think you'd bite and then there it was!!!!! thanks for an entertaining day........ if you're ever passing with your dogs give us a shout and i'll take you for a walk.........
  4. I thought brindle dogs were the fastest......
  5. i dont think it will be you havent mentiond plastic bags
  6. i cant beleave what i just read you will give my dog 30 to40 yards over say 200 yards, its a lurcher is it are do you own top honcho really mate you are havin a laugh, mark dont know what you're reading into that but its farely straight forward, i accept that your dogs initial take off will beat mine for the first 30-40yds and thats it!!! and over 200yds, you certainly wouldn't get a look in, but i'm probably wrong, like i say the only way to ever really know is to have a week up here in gods country, bring some friends and we'll al have a look out???
  7. maybe you'd like to point out where i've slated anyones dogs on here, you'll see i said he tends to overshoot rabbits and can easily get back up on them, who said i'm out of bed........
  8. i wouldve thought, if his smaller dog is exceptionally fast, it would be yards ahead of yours before your got into its stride, lets face it a 27/28inch dog aint got the acceleration of a little 22inch dog, ive got a 22inch bitch thats explosive on take off and it would be away before the big gangly 27inchers got into gear, jmo yep, thats why i said i'd give it 30-40yds, but 100yds is a bit of an ask!!!
  9. ok mate iam going to answer this with a nice polite response,i dont think my dog will beat the average 27 inch dog to the turn at say 100 yards i know it will, mark You're like the Ian Beale of the dog world!!!! but honestly mate, they have some nice log cabins up here you can rent for holidays and they allow dogs to stay, come up and have a few days out with some of us, a few days out will get rid of the chance of a one off performance and we'll have a look see how your dogs are, i'm man enough to admit if my dogs aint up to the mark, and in my eyes the only way to really know, is to
  10. think you wanna adapt that reply mate it looks like i've written your post!!!!! i've got some video footage of my 28in dog running a hare before the ban, and i dont think your point would hold up, about no centre of gravity and not be able to turn and strike, thats why alot of of the really good hare dogs that used to run them were 22ins is it???
  11. Ok, lets say for arguements sake, you and me were out for a walk with your 22in dog and my 28 in dog or my 27in dog or even all 3 whatever, we've got all the dogs walking to heel and 50yds ahead of us up pops a hare and runs away from us in a straight line, are you telling me you think your dog will beat mine to the turn??? your dog would be taking 3 or 4 strides to my dogs 1, i aint calling your dogs, and i dont doubt you bought....i mean won all your trophies..... ...... but i just cant see it, i'll give you 30-40 yds off the cuff but then it'd be game over, honestly mate get your dog to a
  12. ....bet you get some looks when you're calling your dog!!!!!!
  13. whereabouts in northumberland you from???
  14. It's simple enough in my eyes, a dog of 27-28ins, will piss on a small dog in straight line speed, turning might be a different affair, but then i think some of that depends on the dogs lurning curve, when i started mine off, you'd see the old running to the point they saw the quarry then turning onto it, where as now as you'd expect, the dogs run to the point they think the quarries going, my brindle dog tends to over shoot on rabbits quite a bit of the time, but his pace is such that he's back up on it in a few strides, but when he used to run hares, he's stuck on the arse like glue, must ju
  15. work em, its what its all about, the only thing to do is if its a big bury, you'll need a good few ferrets in to pressure for bolts or they'll just run round under ground!!! and put collars on.
  16. i wouldn't go for that cross, would've thought it' be too slow, it'll throw pups heavy to the grey and pups heavy to the cocker, why not just use your cocker for bushing and pushing stuff out, like they're bred for and use the running dog for its designated job?? works for us using a springer!!!
  17. Alright mate, was just pondering about your dog you do a bit of lure coursing and racing with at the shows, i have a vague recollection (cant be arsed to go through your posts), that it was beating everything at 9 months old? Now if this dog is 22ins, are you only racing in height categories, or is she going up against bigger dogs too? Do you put them into the straight racing events too? what sort of times are they managing, i reckon you should get along to a flapping track and get a proper time for how the dog does, do you really think your dog is fast enough to be stood alongside a dog of sa
  18. I cant remember who it was, but someone who used to be on here had various things protecting his dogs, from locked gates then a guard dog more gates then locked kennels i think and his dogs still got nicked, they killed his guard dog too i think!!!! like anything in this world, if someone wants it bad enough they'll get it!!!!
  19. Years back kenny noye stabbed a copper to death in his back garden, admitted to stabbing him to the courts and walked from a murder charge!!! the police will always try and convict you for something cos they want to try and put people off taking the law into thier own hands.....if they done a proper f*****g job in the first place maybe people woiuldn't have to!!! i'd cut the c**ts hands off and put a knife in it, say he was gonna stab me!!!!
  20. write a letter to them saying they're misinformed twats and you'll be buying some other lads mag!!!
  21. It must be the same guy then, i met up with him and another bloke off the sites at the time when delboy must've only been coming up for a year, never saw him running owt, but heard he was coming good, nice looking beast, he had another big dog called duke if i remember right!!!
  22. are you making a few of these? will have a couple at the end of the month....payday....lol
  23. What Delboy you on about, do you know the lad who owns it? if you can narrow it down then there will be people on here that'll be in touch with the lad who owns him!!
  24. Individually. Every dog I have ever met loved chasing deer, running deerdogs paired up makes for the type of useless arse-biting 'haunchers' often pictured here. A good dog strikes the front end, running a pup paired-up teaches it to go for the haunches and will ruin it as a deer dog. Gotta disagree with you there mate, my black dog used to take em all by the arse, a pain in the arse for all considered!!!! then my brindle dog wouldn't run em at all, no matter what the circumstances!!! gutted!! then when he did take his first one, he was wrapped right into the throat and each one sinc
  25. Remember that all dogs are different, what works with one wont work with another, my springer as a pup liked a tennis ball, then his interest seemed to wane a bit, and when introducing him to water he wouldn't go in for a ball, but when he got his first dummy, we moved on and this was the key factor in his water work, now he ploughs into water on anything and blind retrieves! stopping him with his dummy was a repetetive task, as he was so keen on it you couldn't get it out your pocket without him trying to get it!!! When i say repetetive i'm talking about little and often, i prob threw his du
