    & ALL the mole catching "clubs" are a waste of time now, all trying to promote their own agendas ?,.....& for what exactly,..... its pointless ? ( your a member of the APMC is it ?) all their aims & standards , etc , its laughable,....& trying to promote mole catching as a "sustainable" practise for the future ? whats sustainable the mole population their trying to exploit or the fools who join up, when the group they join are constantly trying to train potential molecatchers to go out and compete with one another ? (what a f***ing joke that is ?)

    Oh you know alright, & its been produced in dvd & sent out to all relevant or interested parties, apparently ?     The information that came to my attention recently, indicated to me that most trap types, MAY not be as humane as believed ? (i didnt know any better than anybody else here !)     Oh god , what have i started ! lol Im just after reviewing the APMC CURRENT membership fees , ffs !! ,...(are you a member) ?? & aye , the "24 hour mandatory trap checking" it is a bit flawed actually, BUT, have you NEVER had to dispatch the odd poorly caught mole, when checking your traps the next day ???? (then again maybe you havent experienced this if you take longer too check your traps lol ????) & the rest of your points may be valid or not ? questionable or disputable , which is all good (i actually did aquire one of the items mentioned which was handy actually ha ha, but

    From what ive just been educated about myself , fairly recently, youd be surprised what type of mole traps ACTUALLY ARE "incredibly humane" in reality, afterall ! (& i was just as ignorant as anybody else, in that regard) & the wee "Fenn scissor" what , is the spring much improved nowadays ? compared to when i used them exclusively for a couple of years, many moons ago, when i didnt know any better ! lol

    My intent was not to reply publicly on here anymore, ..but i felt compelled too here. ha ha,......its of course ok, to criticise "jeff nichols" ? but i also believe he is well intentioned. & hes probably the most intelligent mole catcher ive ever come across & yes his priority is humaneness of operation & approach, above all else,.....but this doesnt suit alot of other mole catchers you see ? for a few reasons. I won't be going elsewhere or anything (like alot of others have ?) & besides I've always said alot more than I really wanted or intended too, over the years I've been on ,.....i feel also for the people that actually start & participate during topics ,cause it's the same old folk !......& far to many just sit back observing , where they could join in more ? & finally just to end on a happy note,...lol,......my chosen field, the moling game is f....d now

    Just thinking Dave, that field might well be one of those situations where a surprisingly small number of moles may be causing that mess,......or on the other hand, it might be quite a few more than you expected ! Iol,.......you just never know , sometimes ? (is that the full extent of the damage on it ?)

    Its also been repeated to me over the years (especially by farmers lol) that the best mole runs to place a trap , is always one that "leads to a water source" ?,....the idea being that all the moles in an area will travel it to get a drink,....(even better in a dry spell in spring or early summer, etc),...now that's all well & good, and I have found them up here before,...but some would refute this by believing that the moles get all the moisture they need from their main prey, the worms,....cause their bodies contain alot if water ?,.....anyone any thoughts on this one ?

    Yep, i concur with you regarding mole activity, often following or alongside watercourses,....& thats the thing also, about trying to estimate mole numbers on a job,...you never really know until you get the traps placed ? (mostly)

    Where's the photos , matey ? Iol , & it did occur to me you were asking a pretty basic question at the start , for someone who has " made alot of people happy" with your mole catching ? (now you don't have to take me too serious here,.....cause i do like a wind up ! )

    Been getting a bit of this with them, this weather though ,....(disadvantages of a single catch trap , perhaps ?)
