  1. You don't need an FAC for thise guns you need a SGC!
  2. I think the best answer to this is to pop along to your RFD and handle as many Shotguns that fall into your budget, I would recommend an O/U for the shooting you've described. You will know when you have picked up the right gun for you, it will just feel natural and comfortable. Giving you names of manufacturers and models is a pointless exercise. Its also worth having the gun fitted, it doesn't cost much but will usually make a huge difference to your shooting.
  3. I was asked why I wanted a .22 and a .17. He also asked me how far would a .223 round go if it didn't hit anything!! I told him it depended on too many factors but in reality I wouldn't pull the trigger if I didn't know where the round would end up. Which is basically what he wanted to hear.
  4. Cheers Guys, I'll try some other brand of Ammo. and report back!
  5. I might well do! but members here respond far quicker and it also give food for thought! Imagine if it was my moderator that was loose! I'd look a right numpty when Ruger get back to me!!
  6. Yes one of the first things I did infact! It might just be possible that it doesn't like the CCI HP Subs I'm using, but I've never known a rifle to behave like this.
  7. Bob I had a good look last night and there does appear to be a feint mark around the stock where a band would have been, so I would say yes it most certainly had one at one time. How much this is effecting my shooting is impossible to say but the rifle does seem quiet erratic!
  8. i would say yes . the 1022 isnt fully floating and yes there should be bnd round the forend of the stock and barrell I figured it was there for a reason, all I have to do now is find a new one!
  9. Hi Guys, I've got a Ruger 22/10 carbine with synthetic stock and think there may be a problem. Now I know the Ruger isn't renowned for its superb accuracy, but I'm struggling to get decent groups at 75yds. In fairness I'm a pretty good shot but I seem to be getting 2 wayward shots from every 5 (or thereabouts) I noticed yesterday that on pictures of my gun on Google there appears to be a band around the fore end of the stock and barrel, this is missing on mine! There doesn't seem to be any movement in the stock but I'm wondering if this is contributing to the problem. Any thoughts?
  10. Depends if he calls the milkman Daddy or not!
  11. A simple one this. First Format your hard drive then place a Windows XP disk in the CD rom drive and install!! Problem solved!
  12. I breed Springers and Gum tree constantly remove my adds because I mentioned Docked or even D&DC in the adverts. I don't waste my time using them anymore!
  13. It always gets on my tits how animal rescue centres say no dogs are allowed to go to working homes aswell, if you're legitimately working legal quarry then what better home to give a dog!!! They think a pet dog that gets a 10 minute walk a day and is fed on the shit in a can you get from supermarkets is a better home than a dog few on decent food and given the mental and physical work it's designed for! I think some people have it in their head that working dogs = illegal activities! Its nothing to do with illegal activity. Its because most people that run rescue centers are anti
  14. Cancel......I just found this. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/135193-bresser-night-vision-5x50-scope/
  15. Has anyone used one of these because they have a couple in Lidl at the moment for £120. The price seems quiet reasonable, but are they any good?

  17. Below is a Post I made on the International Falconry Forum a few years back because the issue of permissions is always a hot subject. Although this is aimed at gaining permission for Falconry the principles are exactly the same, just amend it to suit your own area of field sports. ______________________________________________________ This has come up time and again on the forum so I thought I would start a thread and explains some of the do’s and don’ts, and How I go about asking Once you have found a farm that looks promising never decide to take a stroll around without per
  18. Have a look at the Snipersystems Bipod, its superior to the Harris in my opinion. http://www.snipersystems.co.uk/id46.html
  19. Your live version is better but when you enlarge it it slows right down and doesn't give a full screen, but still better than the PDF!
  20. It seems to be pretty similar to or live version. Can you view it iphone/pad etc? I don't know to be honest.
  21. Hi Born Hunter, Didn't know this was happening. Have you looked at the live video interactive version? Link is above. Thanks Anthony No I haven't but to be honest I like a magazine to look and feel like a magazine. The link I posted above is about the best there is for online publication, I don't know what the costs are of publishing using that software but worth a look.
  22. Have a look this Magazine, its a much better format and the presentation is neater. http://issuu.com/ukfc/docs/chase-anniversary
  23. Very difficult to follow some of the articles especially the Gralloching because the text and pictures don't marry up and seem to jump all over the place. Thats the problem with pdf based magazines, you can really only view one page at a time.
