Tried opening my hw97k the other day and I already heard it may be glued and it's about 2 and a half weeks old, well the trigger block would not budge at all so I just reassembled it and am shooting it standard for the time being as it's quite nice to shoot for an out the box gun anyway I just fancied a tinker! Birthday Present From The Missis
ian118118 replied to webster's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Would stick with the leather seal as they shoot harsher with a synthetic one (as I found out) apparently the transfer port is different sized for the old leather ones than the newer models. Atb Ian -
I have recently purchased an Hw97k and have heard that they now glue the threads in the back block shut which was confirmed today when i tried opening it up earlier. Now if I sent it in for a stage 2 tune would Tony be able to remove the glue to get at the internals? I live in Northamptonshire so it's a long distance as I don't drive currently but could get there somehow.

Thanks for the replies, il shoot it abit first then. I didn't know weihrauch started doing that, is it with all new models? As mine was brought new this morning, can't wait to test it out! Atb Ian

Hello all. Today I purchased a hw97k and have heard that a strip and relube helps remove some of the twang they have from stock. I cannot get out until Thursday to shoot it and was wondering if you guys would recommend stripping and relubing (I have molybdenum grease) despite the fact it would void the warrenty? Or should I just shoot it in stock form first despite hearing about the badly cut springs and factory lube. Atb Ian

Webley Tracker Issues
ian118118 replied to RabbitRapper's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Try google 'airgun spares' and there's a website that sells many parts of many air rifles, the website is something like gunspares.co.uk Failing that grab a piece of delrin and make your own if you have access to a lathe Atb Ian -
Air Arms Tx200 Ft Pound & Accuracy
ian118118 replied to fionn123's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
No real benefit of having an fac tx200 in my opinion. I think they can only go to about 15flb, the tx200 in standard is simply amazing and will hit atlong ranges (within reason of course) aslong as the shooter is accurate enough Atb Ian -

Thanks for all the ideas guys it's much appreciated! If I supplied 15 quality types and each type had 30 pellets what price do you think would be good? Iv seen other prices for similar ones but the prices seem steep for what they offer and I'm not doing in it to try rip off people. Atb Ian -

Thank you for the reply, I had not thought about FAC airguns so maybe a few of the heavier pellets need to be placed in. I know what you mean about the better quality brands as I don't want to waste money and time with the bad quality pellets. What pellets would you recommend? ATB Ian
