  1. He was about 10 month old in This picture what advantage is he getting that can’t be got from a hard Septembers lamping?
  2. Exactly , f***ing well said ! With each and every post , bangers may has his true character revealed
  3. So if a dogs born in august 2023 it would be a year old in August 2024 and you two would be hunting it all over summer 2024? when the stubbles been cut and the dark nights start in winter 2024 , what advantages have you gained by hunting all summer with it ?
  4. Folk who purposefully run quarry in the summer with lurchers , particularly young rabbits and hares are not for me Genuinely can’t think of an advantage to it
  5. My favourite coursing cross is well bred coursing bitch to the biggest roughest nastiest mean as a ferret lamping dog you can find . I had a very good dog from a foxy / Charlie blood bitch to a collie bull grey lamp killer . Probably my best dog . a lot of people get caught up in names and pedigrees , when in reality that coursing blood can be too high maintenance and too inbred to properly click sometimes
  6. f***ing he’ll how long ago was that ?
  7. Foxy Charlie , that must be twenty years ago at least
  8. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RYRHvOEkWn8 @chartpolski and @mC HULL Some dog
  9. Dog was in sports night opening credits lol
  10. In one ballyreagan bob was the dog used
  11. With all due respect that’s a very valid post but the range of dogs today is so concentrated that I don’t believe half the pedigrees . coursing dogs bred at two and three years old and jacking at four five isn’t unheard off . So what chance does a dog mated from the en vogue dog is the day . With foxy / Charlie type or a Nancy , you know exactly what you’re getting on the tin.
  12. @mC HULL who was the famous greyhound in GC joes blood ? you can’t discount that imho
  13. Just a scrap old half cross Sal grey that did well locally and was a nice type to be amongst a gang of young lads who were figuring out how to get better dogs lol no big names at all
  14. he was out of one of the first litters from lucky , he through his mams colour and was the only red fawn in the litter . I only have red dogs so he was the one for me
  15. He could shift mate . I was very naive with him when he was younger and would flash him round here there and everywhere whenever I went out with the boys regardless of what we were doing and looking back I was lucky he wasn’t chored as he had a weird habit of performing best in front of strangers lol He broke his wind in and around thirsk on a few days out with a very well known match dog and when he matured he was an absolute monster of a dog. I could lamp him relatively well, he would go into most things but batting around off the back of the van daylight , I’ve not seen much better .
  16. Had one very similar myself
  17. That’s my favourite dog on here
  18. They’ll be in good hands there with him
  19. There was lads that won the Forley cup used to post on here . Some cracking lads who were at the very top of their game who were very active in matching and comps with some very well known dogs including flint, captain , splodge, Del Boy and Nancy . i doubt any of them have dogs now baring maybe one
  20. Another dog you’ve seen in you tube
  21. @chartpolskibang on mate , man was top of his game with racers, coursing dogs and now spaniels . That’s not a coincidence is it
  22. Most people aren’t him though with his history and ability with any type of dog
  23. Or it will pull up , I regard a dog that’s fast as only ever a few runs away from pulling up and would handle accordingly
