  1. Open tickets are pretty much the norm under my police force, as long as you stipulate it on the application i have never known them to refuse anyone an open ticket.
  2. Im just waiting on my variation coming through for a fAC rifle in .22, looking for some ideas so if anyone can post pictures of their fac rifles along with a bit of info that would be much appreciated. Cheers

  5. Oh dear..... the "lesser spotted forum idiot" response when faced with the fact that one of his comments has lead the rest of the forum to believe he is quite frankly a tit. "i was only joking you lot are so easy" kind of response. Never mind pal, every village needs its idiot and im sure theres a village out there for you somewhere. God bless.
  6. 'Some of us'???? Probably only you, mate! If you're making a living from mole-trapping alone, you've obviously stumbled onto a secret no-one else knows? Love to hear what you know!? Mind you, it's probably 'commercially-sensitive' information? Beggsy? If you really want to learn how to trap moles for a charge, best advice I can offer is t'internet! 'Google' really is your friend, mate! Not taking the piss, but get your finger on the 'search' button & have a look? If you're still stuck after reading all the info' available, send me a PM & I'll help you out if I can And
  7. What i feel this bloke is looking for is someone to show him how to trap moles in order that he can do it for his club in return for reduced or even free Green fee's. Now never before have i heard of anyone trapping moles for sport, if anyone has the ability to trap moles and do it well if they are doing it for nothing they are quite frankly a fool. I think this guy will be very hard pushed to find someone who classes himself as a professional Mole catcher (which will be required on a place the size of a golf course) to show him the roped free of charge, the thought is quite frankly ridiculous
  8. Oft.... theres gonna be one lucky mole trapper out there!!
  9. I personally think the guy is a complete coward and mouth piece. He should have taken the opportunity to mention the loss of life and regret about it but alot of the Family's were looking for an apology, something i think he was very justified in not giving. Soldiers sign up for a career in the army to serve their country, that is a choice not by force, and them and their Familys especially the young lads who have most likely signed up while the conflict is ongoing know there is a high likely hood they will be sent to war. And to turn around after they have fallen in battle for their country
  10. Please PM with any interest.
  11. Right folks, my mother in-law makes handcrafted cushions as a hobby to sell at the local fair and i persuaded her to do some Field sports related ones which have sold extremely well, she has a few left so i offered to see if anyone on here would be interested as they would just take up space until next summers fair! They are excellent quality come cellophane wrapped and if you are not 100% satisfied when received you can have a full refund, just a few remaining so first come first served. £15 inc postage in UK each.

    Get the pics up then!
  13. Just noticed in the pics the bird doesn't seem to be in her first year plumage, is she an older bird?
  14. A young bird can be put off in its first year if it gets a rough time on a hare, my advice would be to give them a miss for the rest of the season and re-build her confidence on Rabbits, then i would get her on a couple of hare carcasses at the start of next season before trying her again. Heck im no expert on falcons, I tried to give a fair answer without getting terribly complicated lol You'd have to ask someone much more experienced in falcons than me about hybrid vigour. I guess it must occur in some ways. Theres a heck of a price difference in a Gyr falcon hybrid than a pure Gyr and the potential health issues lessen too. Pere/sakers are ace on landfil in other words theres certain preferred hybrids for various reasons.. horses for courses Hybrid vigor does exist in hybrid falcons yes but its not in all of them also you're spot on with the cost implications too
  16. An arsehole he probably is, but setting snares where there are dog walkers and dogs running around free is just asking for trouble and not good practice. Foxy
  17. slipped to run the deer down? would that not be illegal??

  19. I tend to find there are very few good second hand harris hawks out there, the fact that they are unwanted/second hand usually means there is something not right, usually the result of being bought by a novice who doesnt know how to train and manage the bird resulting in the bird being miss managed and ending up with any number of undesirable traits for example, noisy, aggressive, or just a plain nut case! Good hawks are like good dogs, very few people will want to get rid of them.
  20. Youd be alot better off with a hawk in that case not a falcon.
  21. what do you want it to be working?
