  2. Just got back from the beautiful Borders........... Friday evening out stalking and I spotted this dog fox mooching about on the other side of the river. It was along way away so I placed the cross hairs just above its head and squeeezed the trigger to see it drop on the spot......................250yards and the bullet had broke its spine Then I proceeded to lay in wait opposite a gorse covered banking to see if anything would appear at last light, just as the light was fading out popped a buck and doe..............................the buck joined the party O
  3. I was out on thursday evening and missed a fox crossing a ploughed field,I was totally pissed off and disheartened with the new rifle. Friday evening I went back to same spot to zero the rifle, bullets seemed to be going all over I couldnt understand what was going on,I could only presume a bad batch of factory ammo. I finally got it sorted hitting a 10p piece at 100yds. So i went for a stroll,on looking over a steep banking I spotted a fox lying at the base of a tree about 5 yds away facing in the opposite direction.I quickly adjusted my scope to the minimum settings and shot him w

As we were walking up the edge of a wood a buck & doe appeared in the field heading straight towards us,so my mate dropped the buck but the doe would not leave its side.............I walked straight up to her and she just looked at me and ran a few circles around me......... 17. Out this morning at 5.30am.......best time of day! I spied a roe in a shelter belt ,couldnt see its head for a tree but could make out the anal tush.I lined up behind the shoulder and fired only to see the deer run off without reaction to the shot......................I thought I had missed :realmad: Anyway on checking where it had been standing I saw some hair so I knew I had hit it....................on searching through the wood I found it lying dead about 50 yards away....the bullet had struck true As I approached the deer I could see antler growth on its head and I thought
  18. I had to sort out a lamb killer a couple of years ago,it was a tiny vixen that you wouldnt have thought would have taken so many lambs. On another occasion I shot a dog fox that had also been killing,it was carrying a back leg. Therefore I presume it couldnt hunt so well and took the easy option.
