  2. Used to have a S410 .177 and i liked it. Now got a Daystate mk3 .177 and really like it. Looking around to maybe get a HW100kt and see if i really really like that.As said previously go for a second hand one, or at least make sure wherever you buy a new one from they will either change it or at least give you a great deal back on your gun should you not get on with it or don't like it.

  6. I picked my battery up from the local tip ! Took me a few times in and out with battery's i've picked up that don't work or charge properly but definately worth the effoert in the end. I also used a motorbike battery that was good enough, still got it as a spare / back up. Good enough for a couple of hours if your conservative with it
  7. Good luck on finding the dog, and hope the thieves get a good f*'"ing kicking for doing it
  8. At the mo i'm using a hill billy battery off a golf buggy !! Put it in a rucksac and away you go, yes it's a bit heavy but by the time the battery runs out you'll of had enough and be ready for home anyway
  9. It matters not about his height mate, at ACES we've had K.C dog's as small as 16 tts pulling over a 1000lb so i wouldn't worry about his height. Just remember when training him to do everything nice and gradual, and try and get yourself a harness, most places willl no longer let your dog pull in a collar. Have a look on the ACES forum, loads of stuff on here. Also thanks to Phil for putting ACES name foward £$%^&*()_)(.com/A_C_E_S/index/
  10. I've also had a look on the net and can't find any ? Found his 5 generation Ped and the like but no pic's
  11. Cheers for the replies peep's, as for the traffic cone it would have to be a really big one, the turkey's are huge !!
  12. Hi all, my friend used to keep chickens in his garden which he used to get egg's from and all was good. Then he had the idea that he would get rid of the chickens and get 6 Turkey's and rear them for christmas ( As he heard that you can't keep both because of cross disease ? ) . Great news knowing where and how our christmas dinner was coming from. The trouble is now that it is coming nearer to the time for the disbatch of our feathered friends he was wondering the best way to do this, and whether to keep them hung or kept in a certain way for any reason ? The due date he has given me to disb
  13. Some cracking ideas, opinions and info there guy's, thanks for the input. I'm looking at either a Lynpery, Mike Brown Dog's, or a dog from down the new forest way. Need to get it sorted though as she came into season yesterday !! Any thoughts from you guy's on here ?
  14. mate that's a fine looking HW100 !! I looked in my gun shop today for a second hand one but they didn't have one, so i ended up with a Daystate Mk3 .177 instead, not bad i suppose !!
  15. Cracking result, i don't mind coming and helping !!
  16. Cheers peeps Shepp - I agree with you mate for sure, just i'm sure alot of the people who looked in would of had some good points of view on the subject, and maybe some experiance of this cross, the same As Leeview. As for my bitch being 35lb IMO that is not too heavy, i could probably get her to around 32 - 33lb if fully conditioned but i prefer my dog with a little cover. I respect your opinion though. Leeview - Cheers for the insight into what i'll hopefully be looking at in the future, happy hunting !
  17. I'm not maty but i'll check it out, cheers for the info
  18. Can't believe that 104 people have looked into this and only you 3 guy's have replied Anyway's at least you guy's are positive as to what i'm trying to achieve, thanks for your inputs
  19. It fills with air then, either the valve will not release when i screw it into the rifle or will not shut and just keeps releasing air. If i push the valve with an allen key to release the air it wont shut properly and just keeps leaking. We filled it 3 times at the shop ( Without any money changing hands for the privilage ) as i thought maybe trying to blast out something if stuck in there. I did think about spraying WD-40 in it but didn't want to do anything untill i found out what could be done
  20. I have been looking into the whippet world for a few months now and can't quite choose between a working whippet and a kc whippet for a stud to my bitch  . I understand that workers will be a little more robust to working but also that the KC dog might be a better option as for size. I am aiming to produce a dog around the 20in mark and dark in colour for when out at night I am wondering if anyone has done a first cross and what the litter came out like. Do i need a taller stronger working dog that may come out slightly heavy due to the bull. Or use a KC dog thats slightly smaller an
