  1. John Cowan was a gentleman from a distant age, there were times when i had not seen him for numerous years, when out hunting i would come across him he was no different and like i had just seen him the previous week He was a guy you could TRUST He was a true countryman! His familey will have been very proud of him, and remember him for many years to come. I wish his familey all the very best at this sad time
  2. once she sees other quary she will leave rabitts
  3. Frank buck never kept many terriers, but in the 70, and his were all black, but his grandson did have a crossbred terrier. Buck was a straight forward guy he would tell you to your face what his thoughts were, we never had any terriers from him but he offered the ocasional encoraging word. I will always remember him comming up trumps with a fox on a fellside when i thought his terrier was rabitting, credit to him. A good guy and a good yorkshireman

  13. who has this line of breeding now and would i be able to get a pup off them cheers
  14. If you cant span your terrier he wont get to a fox You will be supprised how narrow a fox is, i see lots of black terriers that would not be able to get to a fox The owners a happy with them and what work they have for them
  15. I used to see george newcome and his son working his bedlingtons and was never inspired enough to get one. The best one i saw that he bred was half lakeland and half bedlington, this one was a belter, it was lost from the owners home, he thought it had cleared off hunting and was stuck some where he made a great effort (he was a keeper and soninlaw of the local huntsman) and justly so the thought a great deal of that terrier. George was blinkered when it came to his bedlingtons TH
