  1. Got some rabbits at the weekend but when I gutted them I found the liver was covered in white spots  , think this is called liver flukes Is the rabbit safe to eat or feed to my ferrets or should I get shut of them ?
  2. HI Dave I've got a Baikal 410 hushpower and I think its great! I would buy another tomorrow. They are great for using in places you do not want to bring attention, and you get chance for that second shot. The only down side and it would not put me off them 1% is that they are quite long. Get one you may never want to go back to anything else, my next purchase will be the Mossberg 3 shot hushpower as when Im out rabbiting that unnoticed rabbit always pops out from some place and runs past you. Andy
  3. I have made around thirty of my own nets so far, but after chatting to someone at a game afair I noticed he used a 1" ring at one end and a metal slider at the other. So I got a few sliders from him and made some nets in the sameway! and yes they do purse a lot faster. So I have decided to make some of my own. Does anyone else make these? if so what type of wire do you use and ? is the best place to get it from. Cheers

  8. Got to the farm today and set my nets out, then decided to give one of my Jill's a turn down the holes first. So I put a collar on her and left the other Jill with my hob in their box. Anyway she does not seem to want to go down the holes? I don't force her! if she turns to come out I just try another hole. But as I said she does not want to go down instead she jumps around in her usual playfully manner. Both my gills do the same, I only put one down at a time cause I'm on my own / inexperienced and trying to watch whats going on. My Jill's are still young this years so I assume its just d
  9. A mate of mine has just got a JSR scope and from what I can tell for the price its great. But not had chance to test it in the field I wondered if anyone else has a JSR scope and what they think of it?
  10. Just a quick hello Im quite a new member, Just started ferreting but not that sure if im doing it right  . And im also into my shooting mainly with air rifles (AAS410) .
  11. Hi and welcome, like yourself I also shoot with an S410 but in 22. I have found that the best pellet for me and my gun has to be Air Arms field, they give good groups and work great on feather and fur. Have tried other pellets before but these work best for me! what I would say is once you have chosen a pellet that works for you stick with it, cause another make or even size may not hit that zero the same each time you take your shot.
  12. Sounds like a perfect end to your day I have seen a couple of those wabbits like the one in you first photo near me quite rare they are not a lot of meat on them though but never seen em with speckled feathers before  I'm looking forward to getting my s410 out soon, just got it back from air arms I decided to treat it to a service so needs setting up again. Then I will be out whenever I have chance Going to look around for some more land to shoot on too! and that ain't easy these days but will try.
  13. Decided to go ferreting today as I have been house bound for about 4 weeks . Anyway its only the second time I have taken my ferrets out, and only the second time I have been ferreting in the last two or so years. (Gave up hunting for a while) So I arrived at the farm and set my nets out on the banking of a pond, with nets down I entered my Hob  into the first hole that is. Time passed and it became apparent he had a wabbit backed up in the burrow so it was time for me to start digging not had much experience at digging but managed ok Anyway out popped my ferret I reac
  14. Yes, I do when I get some and they love it. I put a whole one in and some time later all that I have left is a very clean wabbit skin , but they tend to mainly have dried food. And at this time of year if you give them a wabbit you dont realy need to worry about flies.
  15. If your worried I will give you £40. for it and you can put it towards a nice new S410 im good like that :11:
