Well got up 5:30 on saturday morning to go fishing by the time i was at the lake it was 6. I set up and cast in a quill float with size 12 hook baited with luncheon meat. I put the rod down and started setting up the other one looked up to check where my float was to see the rod curving round i grabbed and struck into a nice carp about 4lb http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y108/Lurc...shedlake017.jpg I finished setting up the other rod and rebaited them both and cast one out by an overhanging willow and the other back by the lilys. it then went dead until 9 when the float by the willow shot u

Went for a walk round a farm local to me(2 minute walk across fields) this evening as the farmer had been moaning about rats having his grain which he stores in one of the big barns. I was snooping about when i heard the familiar chattering of a magpie peeped through a broken window from inside one of the barns there it was mobbing a nest. It came to rest on a tree about 25 yards away lifted the gun rested on the wall and blat hes gone. No rats about but plenty of signs of them unfortunately this farmers not to keen on dogs about the place otherwise i would of given a mate of mine a shout and

im sure it says 14 i think its stupid that you can go out with a fire arm on your own at 14 but a shotgun at 15. thanks baldie but im a stuffed anyway as even if i do get it granted how am i gonna get a rifle i shoul of really though it through.

my trap is made out of wood and wire ive caught my call bird ok the problem im having is he keeps flying against the wire and appears to be hurting himself no wim not a cruel b*****d so dont want the thing to be suffering. what can i do to help it?

2 more black and white buggers have met there maker woke up this morning there was about 6 in the field where my larsen trap is and another 6 in the field in front of the house.

im havin trouble catching my call bird i have tried eggs pigeon rabbit decoy but nothing seems to work ive seen them sitting in the trees around it the only thing ive caught is a freakin pheasant. :realmad:

I saw them but they didnt see me the bigger buck was had after a difficult stalk through woodland then having to climb 20 feet up a tree to get a clean shot hard work but well worth it. The young one was almost to easya bout 15 yards away and just sat there i hesitated but at the end of the day in the eyes of the farmer a rabbit is a rabbit.
