Thanks for the link but what I really want to know is will the firearms officer question me about how I am going to obtain one e.g. who will gift me one or even prevent me from getting one or would I be able to say that I itend to join a clay club (which I do) and will purchase one when I am 18, but will they say wait until you are 18? It seems that it is fairly straight foward if your parents have a license but complicated if not. I just want to be sure before I apply. Thanks oli

I have been planning on getting a shotgun license and a shotgun for a while now and was planning on getting one when I turned 17 (this thursday) but inconveniantly the law changed last year so I will have to wait until I am 18. I know that if I have a license that I can be given one, so i could basically get someone to buy one with me and have it transfered to my certificate I think but correct me if I am wrong, or would I be able to buy one from someone second hand e.g. classified? While i agree its a bit strong to say it should be illegal,it should definately be discouraged....the dilution or cross breeding of anything always results in complications of some sort......theres nothing wrong with racial purity and should be strongly encouraged in my opinion regardless what that race is.....its what gives people their identity......if the dogooders had their way we would all end up a greyish colour and have the same beliefs about everything !! Seriously the rspca are mostly c*nts when it comes to hunting but they wouldnt do it themselves for a publicity stunt, that has to be one of the most stupid things I have heard on here! I know some people on here have dealings with them but how can you moan about them when they are dealing with an incident like this, I say good luck to them with prosecuting this scum, and its the people that have done this that give lurchers and owners a bad stigma not the press for reporting the facts. Why moan when they are doing what they should be?

Thanks for your words of wisdom but i do know my dogs can be dangerous among other dogs so i do control them, that is why i still have these presant dogs at 10yrs old and 13yrs old, now go away young boy and play on your Xbox or watch some porn. I take it you muzzle your dogs if they are dangerous and a threat to other dogs then, and if its a staff, its ashame as it gives the good dogs and owners a bad name as they are mainly nice dogs

My non-working chocolate lab has ear canker and has had it for some time now, we have previously taken her to the vets and they have given us ear drops to use and told us to clean the brown wax that is in the ear as well but it clears a bit but comes back after a while. would this be because the ear drops have'nt been used for long enough? I am wanting to get some stuff from the internet but what is the most effective to use and what else can I do to get rid of it or will it never dissapear? any help and advice would be much appreciated, thanks Oli

I agree to a degree that a dog can be bred badly and be agressive and dangerous with out a bad influence from the owner, it's just in the natre of the dog and it's genes.
