I heard Melvin Brag use that on the radio a few years ago in one of his discussion programmes. I was sure that he'd made it up just to see if the people he was talking to would notice and had to go and look it up. Always a good one to work into the conversation at work that one.

Personally I think you are both just discombobulating everyone with that kind of lanuage. :11:

  18. I've got a bit of a plan for one which I can email you but not made one from it yet. I could be persuaded to have a go but not for a month or so John
  19. bugger. Are you sure it was them though ? As you said I'd have thought any one with an country background would have just had the lot away - for himself or his mates. Could there be someone mink watching ? or whatever it would be called. We had a chap round by us, university professor, who was studying mink and we suspected that he'd released some near the pens so that they'd have a good food supply to get established. Need to hide your traps a bit better mate - particularly for a while as they'll be looking for more. Try building a few 'dummy' ones and see what happens.
  20. more like letting a chicken loose on a fox farm
  21. Well mate well done for declaring yourself and your views. I look forward to your contribution and hope we can influence your views positively towards hunting. welcome aboard John
  22. Went down to London on Thursday - fields were starting to be cut south of Birmingham down around Warwick - even a few ploughed in. But not much cut at Oxford or further south
  23. According to my little trapping book that I had when I was 7, Mink shit is about 5cm long and tappers towards one end. Stoat and Weasel is about 5cm and 3cm respectively and seems of more consistent width but with a pronounced thinning at both ends. It could be hedgehog too. But I'm way out of my depth here That 'bridge' is just crying out for a trap. It's the perfect place for a box trap if you've finished one And anyway - I thought you were hunting a stole, not stools.
