  6. ok pal when you say he is walking flat in what way do you mean.one of my dogs pulled all the muscles in her hind quarters and she went right down on her hocks, getting better now though jus on his fron right. where he stands nicely on his knuckles with his left his right one just sits a bit flatter now.
  7. Hi there, my lurcher damaged his tendon and i was wondering if there is anything out there that i could use to maybe help it improve. he's not walking lame on it he's just gone a bit flat on it. saw a specialist and he said he could operate but it could not garentee it helping he said it could go again once he did the op. so we decided to leave the op hoping at the worst i will only get half the runs a night a used to. someone told me about a product used for horses called cortaflex anyone know anything bout this. cheers would be great to hear back from anyone.
  8. hi mate have a wheaton x just put photo of her on here Yer i see her that is a smart looking bitch there. what is the temprement like does she run well on rabbits
  9. Hi there don't really know too much about these crosses. was just wondering what sort of size they usually make, do they make good rabbiting dogs. would be good to see any pictures and hear what people have to say about them cheers
  10. With roe I don't think that size matters too much my mates dog is 23/24 inches to the shoulder, a real tiny little dog no bull in it and brings them down no probs. it all depends on how the dog works them i think. His one has a good pace of speed and stamina and keeps pressuring the deer then flips them and they don't get back up once he has hold. This is on roe i'll say but would obviously struggle on a larger species. However all we have is roe in our area so no need to worry bout that. I can see where people might prefer the bull crosses having the strength to do it a bit quicker an all
  11. what sort of size does the dog reach to the shoulder. are they a sencible size for rabbit dogs
  12. i have a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie 1/4 whippet. the dam was a 1st cross collie grey and the sire was dave sleights boy blue he is a great dog for me. he is super quick good stamina great on rabbits.
  13. I spoke to Deben and the told me a liteforce 170 which i have will last 1hr 18 mins i think it was, that was continuous. so good nigh lamping maybe 3hrs, i could be wrong.
  14. dont forget little old me how many hours you recon to get? 3-4 hrs with a lightforce 170 would this sound right. using a double belt pack at the moment x 2 7amp packs
  15. The hw100 are great rifles 110 shots in .177, 120 in .22 you would get less shots in the carbine version which has a shorter barrel and cylinder. They have a 2 stage rekord trigger, you get two 14 shot mags and it does not double load avoiding pellet jam in the barrel. I chose the .177 hw100t and I am well impressed, it is a brilliant peace of kit. They are very accurate in the right hands you could drop a rabbit at 50 yards, you only need 3-4 ftp on impact head shots only. Cheers ramcam thats good. what scope is that on your hw100.
  16. Cheers for that Sterry will give it a go on a decent night. bloody moon at the moment.
