No, this is not correct. The only animal where this does apply is deer - the Deer Act specifically states that expanding ammunition must be used.
Other animals are afforded no such protection, and thus the use of FMJ is legal. In some circumstances it is a useful tool (though personally I wouldn't, I like being humane), for example shooting an animal where you intend to keep the pelt.
sorry but it was changed a few years ago you cant buy exspanding ammo if you dont have it on your certificate and it also states fmj is for target shooting only
