Yes farmer kev, you can't beat the sound of hounds finding their quarry!! No matter how many times you've been out with them, once they open up, you do get a rush of blood!!!! Sorry to hear about your Russell, bunny tickler!! That defo shouldn't happen!! Thinks it's better to use fox netts really!! Or very experienced guns!!

Depends on what your using them for & the terrain their hunting!! If you want to hunt through bramble & anything with any incline then forget teckels!!! We had some they've no balance working banks due to the short legs!! & in cover such as bramble, they kept getting there fur caught up & didn't have the power to push on through!! We worked the cover more than they did!!! Lol..

Hi pal, We're in Yorkshire!! But will travel... When you say "worried about inviting unknown guns" do you mean guns that are inexperienced with flushing with hounds??... If so .... Guns are to be stood a good distance away from cover & wood!! & only allowed to shoot when vermin breaks clean from the cover!! Guns should NEVER!! Shoot into cover or woods!! I hope that's what you meant!! Lol....

The dog Duke your on about, was bred out of a very good dog named Spade!!! Who was bred by the Leigh's in Hyde, Cheshire!!!

Don't bother mate !! Had four of em, couldn't jump or climb anything!! Getting stuck in thick cover & not being able to get out!! Rolling down hills cos there legs were so short!!! If you've already got hounds then they will leave these behind!! Stick with what you've got!!
