  1. well i will have to rive up some hazel and make a few setting sticks sounds about the same as making broaches for thatching. so is garden peat better than soil as its lighter?
  2. to be fair aaron i think you have made the right decision the mk4s are easy to set if you get them and if they snap on your hand it hurts to a b*tch but doesnt break your fingers believe me lol i am 17 and have massive hands and at first i still stuggled to set them but i persivered and managed fairly easily now. thye best thing to do is know your limits and dont push it and most of all treat spring traps with the upmost respect as they are designed to break bones good luck with the cages rob
  3. i was really wary about sprinkling soil onto a trap after the safety was off for fear of breaking my fingers. probably silly i know but how do you remove the safety once the trap is immersed in soil and do you set the trap real heavy unlike for rats. i have only caught one rabbit in mine so for and it was a young stupid one.

that was jsr's ebay shop. if you are going to deal with them on ebay the service is excellent i know from experience but their main shop might be worth a look too
  5. well ghillies you lost me after 'dont forget to leave three markers' but sounds like good advice up to there lol i got my filter stuff today seems quite good, now im waiting on my silencer and torch, they are still taking the butter next door and nibbled the butter on the fenn so should get him tonight when hes licking off the rest. plenty of evidence they have been on the grain pile even though its only been there a few nights. cant wait to get at them.
  6. feck me that looks painful, you did well not to get ill if the pellet killed the rat then went into you. get well soon, class story to tell the grandkids though
  7. theoben all the way but as for model god knows
  8. ooh you might be quite close to me finally a few somersetters emerging. where you from mate? im between taunton and bridgwater
  9. glad i am not at your school  so is he damn it you got there first
  10. i know of people setting rabbit cages in a similar fashion but its anyone guess good luck though he sounds like hes causing a bit to much trouble to be left untouched
  11. i put up a post a whle back about baiting rats out and after a week of so i have got them feeding from an uptured brick filled with runny peanut butter. in the cow shed about 5 yardss from the grain rolling shed with a 2 tonne heap of grain and my big daddy rat's home. i can see all of this as the shed are open fronted, from the other cow sheds windows so a range of 10-15 yards varing on position in the shed puts the rats at easy blasting range of my soon to be modified ratty. which is firing easy 20p groups at 20yards (atm touch wood) so whats the best way to get i am thinking with my cree to
  12. sound advice i did it the first time and the safety was wedged on, so i have learnt hw90 owners. pull the safety lever (small silver coloured plated with a v shape missing) forward till it clicks then put on the gaurd as far as possible and while keeping pressure on, pull the trigger to release it. the guard should now line up perfectly and screw on in position. you live and learn hey
  13. dont worry guys, i managed to get it off tight fit though. it weighs in a heavy 1.33 kg so not muc h less than my entire ratchatcher lol is there a place that does synthetic or skeleton stocks or do i have to fail where air gunner succeeded and make my own?
  14. which screws do you take out on the hw90 to take the action out of the stock? obviously the front two but which ones by the trigger guard thanks in advance rob
  15. not this agian does that hw100 have a lighter cheaper brother??? The extra weight is called quality i have to admit being a weihrauch owner myself, but i sometimes which it was made of helium
  16. which screws do you take out on the hw90 to take the action out of the stock? obviously the front two but which ones by the trigger guard
  17. not this agian does that hw100 have a lighter cheaper brother???
  18. if that does solve the problem, a neater solution might be to get some black heat shrink for electricals and put that on there
  19. so is it just the convenience and lack of effort requred that makes people get the dive bottles? and how long would it take to pump something like a aas200? (im not a weed lol)
  20. oh i see, so if you have a pump with said filter its fine? and money wise which is cheap: pump or dive bottle because i am still looking seriously into pcp because i enjoy the spot on recoiless accuracy of my ratty so much
  21. so does that mean that filling a gun with a stirrup pump is detremental to it?
  22. ok no gun, how exactly are you planning on dispatching the fox once you have caught it my bad sorry
  23. they are called justgloves but sell other things, very misleading
