  1. im not sure about the age for collars but handling is best done after feeding however if you put a collar on a ferret and then feed them by the time they have finished dinner they will have forotten its thier it worked with mine
  2. well i think mine is running at about 10ft/lbs and the silencer maes a huge difference when ratting and shooting ferals so yeah you are wrong
  3. only have a spring on one side of the door? this way it will be less powerful and not knock the other off
  4. ok then lads maybe not i will give that one a miss and spend me money on some pellets and some new wheels for my longboard woo! atb rob
  5. thank you very much for your generosity, i will see how they fire through the hw90 and then get some depending, i think i have about accupells left so i should be ok for a week then it off to the shop post haste before insanity sets in. if i pm you my address will that be ok, thanks again, and i have to say despite the sometimes childish spattles the generosity on this section is admirable to say the least. cheers davy atb rob
  6. knocking off doves and rats and ferals at the moment i am getting through my tin of accupells at a rate of knots. but i want to try out some of these vermin pells . does anyone know of the cheapest place to get a couple of tins ie one of each accupell and vermin pell becuase i dont have any guns shops close to me (within about 15 miles)?? or is it a case of waiting for the weather to break and whipping off to the shops? i dont want to be out of pellets because not shooting can drive you to polling or so ive heard cheers guys atb rob
  7. Only thing with laser is the fact you are relying on the dot & not your true line of sight, so if you are not holding steady you will miss, I have seen many a farmer son working the laser around the feed store or milking shed & missing as many as he shot, you cannot beat realiable fixed iron sights at short range it encourages good hand eye coordinaton. foxon. it is to be used in conjunction with a 4x32 scope so open sights are not realy an option, especially now the ratty has a heffing gurt silencer on the front.
  8. as some of you may be aware i am currently modifying my ratcatcher to be a good low budget rat busting machine. i was wndering if a laser would be a good addition to the system offering quicker target aquisition and quicker shooting, not snap shooting before you say it any of you guys usedlaser for this before and if so are they any good?
  9. PHWUC! ??? i thought it was thwack or i that the welsh translation. good on you straight in the pan but next time save the flourfor cakes, off with the breast straight into a nice hot frying pan with some butter and oil (to stop the butter burning) get it nicely browned all over and rest for a minute slice up over a nice salad mix the butter with some balsamic and drizzle over the top. oh yeah an fry off some little bits of bacon at the same ime so they are nice and crispy and throw them on too! worth the extra effort trust me its lush... sorry i'm a bit of a foodie good s
  10. Yeah, I did not put that in their as a complaint, just cause last time everyone told me to PM him. dw mate i pm'd him the other day and havent got one back yet hes a busy man but patience is a virtue (apparently )
  11. well why don't you work evenings at a pub or restaurant washing up its what i did to start off with and its easy money to be fair. stop thinking of excuses because if you really want this stuff you will be will to work for it, i gave stuff to a guy your age off here before only to learn later he was using it to poach with and not even using it properly. so sorry if i come across as not being sympathetic but i worked hard to get my stuff to start off with as did probably all of the guys on here so maybe you will learn more about respect and earn more respect bby working for it rant ov
  12. good shooting that im still yet to get my first maggie how did you conceal yourself?
  13. how did he smell?? Dreadful too late mate got there first the advantage of college holidays, working shooting and wasting mylife on the internet
  14. my mid pimping ratcatcher 2250B with 4x32 simmons scope, cree led torch and A&M Custom Gunsmiths silencer got its first kill today with a sitter of a woodie at 15yrds dropped like a rock, so the moral of the story is if you hear a whisper its too late
  15. how did he smell?? terrible!
  16. wait in the other post you said you were offering free pest control ,great! with the use a dog gun traps and snares so you must have some equipment to work with, tbh the best way to do it is get a job and get some genuine british traps and start small gettting more when you can afford it. its what i do and believe me its very satisfying when you've had to work that hard for it. so in a blunt way stop being a scab and get a job
  17. wow that guys sounds like a top class twat, but good on you and your wife for making him look even worse lol. i think a little 'alteration' to the sign on his van might be in order
  18. can i politely ask what the hell you think you are doing? this was a useful thread! mods???
  19. yes i started hunting with 4x32 scopes and i am still a real fan being a fixed magnification they are ultra sharp on the image and really light as well and really good for everything but the longest range shots. i could happily knock shotgun cartridges off sticks at 28-30 yrds with my ratty fixed with 4x32 scope all day
  20. awesome cheers bud, i will make sure i document what i do from now on incase it comes in useful
